Jake Gardiner Unhappy?

Gardiner's agent, Ben Hankinson, just tweeted the following
Quote:
#FreeJakeGardiner
https://twitter.com/benhankinson/sta...82023066578946

It's going to get a lot of attention in a hurry, as Bob McKenzie just retweeted it.

Makes sense. Bet he was to be reunited with his brother Max in St. Louis.

This is not good for Leafs. Asking for a trade?

Every Leaf fan wants the same thing. Carlyle/Nonis isn't doing anything about it.

He's not unhappy

This is what we Leaf fans do when we're mad..we start trending #Free_____ (our top player rotting in the AHL).

He just picked up and retweeted it.

We did #FreeKadri...didn't work but hey! Ron Wilson got the axe.

Carlyle is playing two AHL'ers over Liles and Gardiner, team is losing and yet he persists.

There is zero reason he should be in the AHL. He was Toronto's best defenseman last season by a landslide.

Leafs defense hasn't been playing well and he is sitting in the minors. Not that unexpected in my opinion.

Carlyle seems to like playing defense only on their strong side and currently he is apart of a group that includes Phaneuf, Gunnar, Fraser and Liles. We will see if Carlyle changes his view on that soon

No value to be raised or lowered...yet, as he hasn't asked for a trade. His AHL coach is thoroughly impressed with him, but this probably forces Toronto to make a decision on their d-core sooner than later.

I really don't expect Gardiner to be moved, but I do expect this will hasten another move soon.

Avs are doing the same stupid thing with Tyson Barrie. I don't get coaches and their love for slow ass useless defensemen (O'Byrne, Zanon, Kostka, etc).

Too soft for NHL hockey, at least this current management team knows. Liles can contribute as much as him offensively while being soft and very average defensively yet he isn't playing.

Any chance does he have the same agent as Nino Niederietter?

He won't be going anywhere. Dallas Eakins plays him for 25-30 mins. Even Eakins agrees that Gardiner should be in the NHL but there is a numbers game..

Now that Kostka and Holzer are finally getting exposed...Gardiner better be on the team in the next week.

Kostka is a #4-6 on a good day that produces zero offense and decent D, Holzer is AHL material.

He only has 3 games left in the NHL until he can't be sent back down IIRC. That's the only reason he's down.

Holzer and Kostka haven't played all that great and the team has lost 3 in a row. Liles and Gardiner clearly need to be in this lineup. Kostka and Holzer vs Gardiner and Liles? not even close.
