Well at one point game center said 7 on 4 PP, then it said, 3 on 2 PP. It just couldn't keep up.

Great win and very enjoyable to watch. This Dallas rivalry is going to be great. We needed this one.

I think Erat is still hurt from that puck he took off his foot. He just seems too slow....I think he has been playing hurt since then.

I really liked that Spals, Hals, Smith line, they had so much energy.

Hope Guastad is ok, we need his size and he and clune click.

Kevin Klein was good tonight, really good.

Legwand and Gabby had some good shifts too.

Erat was bad, really bad.

Did Yip actually play?

I'm really digging Bartley. He's been by far my favorite "B" new guy. His confidence and poise has impressed me the most. He looks like a vet out there most of the time.

Everyone played solid to me, except for maybe Erat and Fisher. Tonight was par for the course for them. We're really starting to keep our feet moving all game long as opposed to taking shifts and periods off. The scrambles in front of our net were a little stressful though. Dallas's quick passing and attack caught us a few times.

Same problems still exist though... low shots, low quality scoring chances. Zone time was better tonight.

I don't mind the shots, 8 in the first 8 in the second and the first half of the 3rd we were killing penalities it seemed.

Forecheck was on par with the last 2 games.

Yeah but 9 of our 21 shots came from the PP. So that's good for the PP, but even strength shots and chances are still a problem. Zone time is getting better, so shots and chances will come if we keep that up.

Oh ya I forgot to mention the forecheck. Best forechecking game of the season IMO. This is how we will win games. I missed the Minny game so I'm not sure how it compares, but I was more impressed tonight vs the Edmonton game mainly because we were playing an actual NHL team

We told you guys last year that he would be a solid NHL defenseman.

And I wish I would have heard this.

What the ****...I get home late and watch on GCL. Clune gets a penalty, escapes the box, gets a stretch pass...and a penalty shot. I'm laughing at how this will never happen again in a million years and then he goes and five holes it like a rock star. Man that was awesome.

Great game, good effort from several players. Halischuk looked like a wolverine out there; I know he doesn't want to go back down and I sincerely think he doesn't want to be tradebait either.

Bartley I thought was solid. He adds an interesting dimension to the blueline; he had one catch, step left, and snap wrister for a tip in the second that was fantastic. Weber / Ellis rely on direct force shots, Klein just tosses them as he sees it, Josi has some creativity but it's generally off the transition and not while established in the zone, Hannan has no offense. Nothing groundbreaking, but I thought Bartley was solid and creative.

What a fun game to watch. Can't wait for realignment to become official. I'm thinking this will get even better.

Great team game. Played smart, had high energy, played physical, capitalized on chances and had a little puck luck as well.

Clune...who knew?! Loved his celebration at the fans. He works so hard every game it's nice to see him get rewarded.

Big big saves by Rinne.

I think Weber/Roussel got 10 mins because they were involved in a secondary fight after one fight had already begun.

Terrible game, really. I mean, how is the team going to tank when they have efforts like that?

That is how this team has to win games. We have to have Rinne be huge and score by committee, with goals coming from everywhere...even Cluner.

when Erat is noticably bad it usually means he's playing hurt, but we have had nothing official on that. With Horns and Willy out, it wouldnt surprise me if his back is bothering him again but he's gutting it out

Only "Yip" thing I saw worth noting was he leveled someone (#60?) who had just taken a cheap-shot elbow to Goose's head at the other end of the ice. I get Trotz wants his "toughness" but Boychuk is a better choice, IMHO.

Hope Butler's ok.

Looked like Dillon took a nasty cheap shot at him during the Fisher scrum and he went down.

I hadn't seen it but apparently the thing that started the whole Fisher fight was Fisher hit Lehtonen with high stick and nothing was called.

After seeing that, good for Fisher. That entire sequence was ********. Robida can go cry all he wants, he earned that one.

Also Shea Weber tried for one punch KO, good grief

Even Cluner? What, he's a stud, and has more goals than Suter.

Good job Rinne. He had a great game. And I'm starting to warm up to Clune.

I hope Dallas (or even Minnesota) considers us a rival, unlike Detroit. But then again I don't care what a Minnesota fan thinks.

This team is just plain confusing. Two games against the Stars played with real enthusiam for the game while other games there just going thru the motions.

this season isnt really all that different from what we usually see in the course of 82 games... we always seem to have a stretch where we wonder if we are ever going to score another goal(I remember one year we had two goal in three games and both were scored by Smithson), we also usually have a stretch where we score a lot and then everyone thinks we can win 5-4 and forgets about defense, and stretches where we win games 2-1 or 1-0 or get points that we probably have no business getting but we do anyway and it all adds up to our usual 4-6 seed...

its just that in this compressed season every losing streak seems like the end of the seaon and every winning streak rockets us up the standings.

what is going to determine how this season goes is whether or not Erat, SK, Legwand and Fisher can play at something close to their historical levels and tide us through until Horns and Wilson come back
