Tambo just said in his interview with Gene that he will be aggressive on deadline day. Let's see what his idea of "aggressive" is.

Just throwing ideas out. Would anybody do:
Hemsky, Gagner, Petry
For
M. Foligno, Ott, Myers
? Would Buffalo even consider? If not would adding MPS and Kaletta or something else from them work?
I'm looking at like:
Gags > Foligno
Hemsky >= Ott
Petry < Myers

I would do it. They wouldn't.

Buffalo still values Myers quite high.

Agreed we could use his big body on that line with Eberle and Hopkins. They seem like they want to shop him because he is not playing well so I hope we take a flier on him would really give us three legit scoring lines.

Darren Dreger is reporting the asking price for Clowe is a first rounder/two second rounders + prospect, or something like that.
Jones + pick won't do it.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: “@benhankinson: #FreeJakeGardiner”//this is Jake Gardiner's agent.
Free him to edmonton? He could play with good friend Justin on our blueline?
@dantencer: Free him to Edmonton. Left handed puck mover that's a good friend & former teammate of J. Schultz. RT @benhankinson #FreeJakeGardiner
Ok TOR whats the asking price

As long as you don't have to give up too too much.
I wonder what the going rate is for a former legend prospect
Seriously though, I wonder what the price is, it can't be anywhere near the offseason.

How about Hemsky Whitney and a conditional pick for Rehger, Stafford and a 2nd? Would Buffalo do this?

Well seeing how Tamby already fleeced Brown from Nonis for a 4th, Eager and a 3rd should do it.

Surely, they win handedly, Stanford is overrated for a guy that doesn't do that much or play that big.

Yeah the price certainly did drop, not sure how he's been playing lately and i might be a bit optimistic but…

Or

They really don't need d-men. What they need is a player who can play top line centre, or secondary scoring...
Hemsky and our second for Gardiner + Kulemin.
Kulemin-RNH-Eberle
PRV-Gagner-Yakupov
Hall-Horcoff-Jones
Brown-Smyth-Petrell-Belanger
Schultz-Gardiner
Smid-Petry
Schultz-Whitney

I wonder if Whitney, Harti, a 2nd and Hamilton would get you Gardiner and Kulemin?

Leafs fans would be mad at us for undervaluing Gardiner.
It would probably take Hartikainen, they'd probably want Klefbom or Smid too. Whitney won't give them much, Hemsky isn't the right fit for them right now.

If dealt, I doubt Gardiner goes cheap.
I left this on the main boards:
To Buf:
Edmonton's 2013 1st
Scrivens or Reimer
To TO:
Ryan Miller
To Edmonton:
Gardiner
Based on reports today Miller's days in Buffalo are numbered, the fact TO could still use a solid goalie, and the Oil will need a left shot PMD to replace Whitney.

I wouldn't give up the Oilers' 1st round pick for Gardiner, Not even close.
