Yep. I'm sensing a trade pretty soon involving a defenseman and forward as package. Maybe Fletch saw how our defenseman were scared of shooting the puck last night, and decided to get some help.

Let's waive Prosser while we're at it.

Why? He's been decent. Nothing special, but not horrible either.

Because Processors constantly need to be upgraded and lose value the moment you carry them out the door.

So this was already in the works before the ANA game apparently.

Something else has to be motivating this pursuit of Clark.

I might be the only one but I think Falk has played reasonable, he makes some nice jump ups into the play but they never really amount to anything.

I think Prosser might be leaving, and to tell you the truth I'm a little happy. Whenever he comes in Brodin gets bounced around all over.

So they're gonna sign a guy from the Oilers' minor league club, eh? He's seen Hall take out Brodin. He knows Hall went after Clutterbuck.

Clark has only played 18 games with OKC so he wasn't there when the Oilers players played there.

I really want to see the logic in this.

Someone please explain this? Cause I can't see it.

If you watch the video in post #32, you will get to know him a bit.

He had 17 points in 18 AHL games. (1g, 16a)

To call Clark “experienced” is an understatement. The 36-year-old hockey nomad has played 681 regular season games in the NHL and another 414 in the high minors (AHL or the old IHL). After starting out in Montreal and moving to Atlanta Thrashers in their expansion draft, Clark emerged as a key defender for the Colorado Avalanche following the Second Bettman Lockout. The mobile puck-mover averaged about 23 minutes a night for several seasons including 3+ minutes on both special teams, and twice led the entire NHL in shifts per game. Something of an all-rounder, he put up some decent scoring totals, with consecutive seasons of 36 and 39 points. He also became a master of shot-blocking, routinely leading his team in the black-and-blue art. In 2008-09 his 238 shots blocks ranked second in the entire NHL.

Well this leads me to believe that management has zero faith that anyone in Houston has any future in Minnesota....

Scandella is hurt again, right?

Woah....wouldn't go that far. It doesn't make sense, but we may not be aware of the whole plan just yet.

This as the only move doesn't make much sense, so I'm thinking PMB & a dman are getting packaged and traded soon enough.

yupp, PMB and a d-man are going...the question is where, for whom and who's the d-man=? If they're replacing him with Clark, it's nothing long-term I believe.

However, I read somewhere that Calgary was shopping Cammalleri around. Would PMB & Gilbert (maybe a 3rd/4th) for Cammy make sense? Replacing a puck-moving dman with a puck moving dman, while waiting for a puck moving YOUNG dman (dumba) to develop, would make sense, and add some goalscoring depth in cammalleri.

Hmm very interesting, we will have to wait and see how this plays out as there doesn't look to be much room for him at this point...

With Zucker now injured, I'm not so sure Butch is going anywhere for the time being.

To me, Clark sound like Zanon but with more offensive ability. Hell, why not. Get rid of Prosser, bump Falk down to being the 7th d-man, and roll with:

Suter - Brodin
Clark - Gilbert
Stoner - Spurgeon
Falk
