I remember a lot of people around here wanted him to be our GM when he left.

lul at the comparison of an ex girlfriend, on point ; love it.

Nothing this team does anymore surprises me, if Pocklington came back for the team I wouldn't be surprised at this point. This franchise is as close to in shambles as ever

I got all excited for a minute thinking Tambo had been fired.

I'll go back to being despondent now.

If/When Tambo is fired, Howson won't be taking over. I think we can all agree the writing is on the wall for MacT to jump in.

Yep, same. I remember a lot of "I'm betting Howson was the REAL brains behind the operation!" chatter during the first few months after he'd left.

My, how times have changed.

If it's broke, just try the last guy again. This is the Oiler's moto.

He's an assistant coach with the University of Calgary men's team currently.

He sure collected a bunch of tough to play against guys in Columbus and besides the Carter deal because Carter wanted out, it looks like he made some solid moves IMO.

That and he apparently was quite good here before he left. Maybe he was the one helping with all the miracle run trades.

I'm not sure Tambo hired Howson though, It feels like Lowe was always close with howson so it sounds like he hired him. Their good friends. So this further complicates this for me, cus now I really think Lowe is in charge.

And I hate kevin lowe
