I hope Chloe Moretz hasnt aged too much for the Hit Girl role. She was Outstanding & she is what made the first movie so great. Nicolas Cage was good in that one too but since his character died unless they do a flashback scene I doubt he will be in this.

She is only 15 going on 16 and still looks like a little girl when needs be. That being said she did a red carpet last week were she looked anything but a little girl. So I think this will be the last kick ass where she gets to look sweet and innocent.
Saw a preview of the new Carrie on line and she looked a lot older then she is in real life and I think that will take her to the next level of acting

Empire Magazine has three new photos from the upcoming sequel Kick-Ass 2, two of which reveal our first official look at Chloe Moretz's return as Hit-Girl, along with a new photo of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes and Aaron Johnson as the title character Kick-Ass. Check out these latest images for what creator Mark Millar calls 'the The Empire Strikes Back of DIY vigilante carnage.'
Kick-Ass 2 comes to theaters June 28th, 2013 and stars Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow.
With Kick-Ass returning to screens this summer in the appropriately titled Kick-Ass 2, it seems that character co-creator Mark Millar has been discussing his plans for a third instalment.
BEWARE OF POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
Speaking to SFX, Millar revealed that the third story will be the last one, which isn’t great news for Kick-Ass himself.
As Millar explains, “I told Universal [Pictures] this and they asked me, ‘What does that mean?’ I said, ‘It means that this is where it all ends.’ They said, ‘Do they all die at the end?’ I said, ‘Maybe’ – because this is a realistic superhero story.
“If someone doesn’t have a bullet-proof vest like Superman and doesn’t have Batman’s millions then eventually he is going to turn around the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or get shot in the face [laughs]. So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end, he cannot do this for the rest of his life.”
So while that’s not definitive, it does seem like the end might be nigh for Dave Lizewski!
Universal has announced that this summer's superhero sequel Kick-Ass 2 has been pushed back from June 28 to August 16.
Written and directed by Jeff Wadlow and based on the comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., the movie stars the first film's Aaron Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, as well as newcomers Jim Carrey, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo and Donald Faison.
With the date change in place, the studio has also bumped up its action flick 2 Guns from August 16 to August 2. That one stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.
Additionally, Uni announced that Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges' R.I.P.D will now be released in 3D on July 19.
The Kick Ass 2 comic was ****ed up. So violent. This movie will be a lot more hardcore than the first one. I'm not thin skinned but Kick Ass 2 was almost too much to read.
To be fair, the 1st movie deviated a fair bit from the comic, especially in the third act.

That made the trailer for me, totally lost it laughing. At first I was kind of skeptical with Kick-Ass being all jacked and them really emphasizing the Hit Girl is like 16 or whatever instead of 12, but it got better as it went along. I hope they can manage to regain the blend of comedy, giddy exhilaration, and intense action that they had for the first one.
