Getzlaf has be crazy dominant. The only other time I can remember him looking this dominant, was the '09 series against the Wings, and that was only 7 games, this has been 20 or so games.

Hopefully he keeps it up, he's a terror out there right now and it's amazing to watch.

RPG has looked good to me as far as reading each other well and staying one step ahead of the defense. You get the feeling they will have a game where all three have a 4 point night.

what is this ryan miller to anaheim garbage im hearing all over the trade forum. I know his wife loves LA but do people really think we are willing to trade PERRY, let alone hiller+ for that guy? I dont think id choose a goalie situation over ours right now and I hope bob sees it the same.

Came in here to post about attempting to acquire Vincent Lecavalier to fill our 2nd line center problem... Then I looked up his contract... Ohh myyyy
He signed an 11yr 85 million dollar contract in 08...

Always liked the guy... His numbers aren't that hot... And Tampa is struggling... Thought there might be potential for a reasonable trade with picks and prospects 4 him...

@icemancometh: Small note: Nick Bonino is IR but because of a lower-body injury according to Ducks. Not the flu.

That's gotta suck for Nick. Sick and injured. Hope he's on the mend.

Bonino is injured? Then we should probably trade Perry for Ryan Miller.

The schedule gets really tough now for us. For another month - no more than 1 day free and we have to face really tough teams.

So, how long until Lindholm, and/or Vatanen see some action?

I think our D is kind of slow. we have two great skaters, back there, I think Sbisa has been better lately, earlier in the season he was getting scored on alot but lately it's improved and his ice time is going up(he's one of the best PK'ers on the team ATM). Fowler is just having alot of bad luck with his scoring but his defense has definitely improved which is a good sign long term.

I don't know guys i just feel like our defense is missing a little something, we have to keep Allen because he's the only punisher we got back there. I have a feeling Lydman is going to be traded to help address the no.2 center spot

I don't think you'll see Lydman traded. Having 7 solid dmen that can play going into the playoffs is a huge plus for this team. Then you'll see Lydman walk and Vatanan take his place next season.

Most likely the Ducks will look to trade prospects/picks to try and grab that 2nd line winger they've been looking for.

Corey Perry skating as an extra on fourth line -- pretty good indication #NHLDucks expect to be without him for some length of time.
Expecting suspension

Also, Dan Wood pointed out that Palmieri is practicing. Maybe he's getting close.

Perry out for 4 games. Difficult to pick decent lines ahead now without Palms, ***** and Perry...

Beleskey-Getzlaf-Selanne
Ryan-Holland-Etem
Cogliano-Koivu-Winnik
Maroon-McMillan-DSP

Now Holland really needs to step up his game. He has not impressed me at all so far. I'm slowly becoming more and more certain that Rakell eventually will surpass him for the 2nd line center spot.

Our depth will really be tested now. The first line doesn't feel like it'll work, unless Getzlaf keeps beasting.

I think the 1st was Ryan-Getzlaf-Selanne. I wouldn't be surprised at all if KP finds his way up there at some point.

Could easily switch Ryan/Beleskey when needed. It's really about having a deadly 1st line with a hopeless 2nd line, or averaging them out.

If Palmieri returns, he'll bless our top6.

Well at least it appears Hiller is coming to form, so I think we can at least snag 4 of 8 points while Perry is gone.

I'm hoping we see something like this:

Ryan-Getzlaf-Palmieri
McMillan-Holland-Selanne
Cogs-Koivu-Winnik
Beleskey-Maroon-Etem

I think you nailed it.

With Smith-Pelly and Beleskey fighting for a spot.

Beleskey doesn't have to fight with DSP for ice time because he is a far, far better player right now. If DSP gets another call up this season, he'll be fighting with Etem for time.
