Funny stuff.

Any word on Guastad? I like that dude but he's glass.

I just hope they can keep Spals-Hals-Smith together.

I thought I read somewhere that Gaustad went back to Nashville to get checked out by doctors while the rest of the team + Mueller went to Vancouver. I'd say he's probably out. I wonder if it's the same injury nagging him each time? Not even sure we ever found what his injuries were.

I thought I read that it was a recurring shoulder dislocation.

if so its a shame he didnt have surgery on it this summer

I've been in LA the past nine days. What happened to Boychuk?

As far as I know they just scratched Boychuk to make room for Yip and since we got Hali back up. I like both Hali and Yip but I like the speed that Boychuk gives us. I think he needs to be playing.

Did we really call up Mueller? I like the guy but he's never really made a splash. I hope he gives us some good energy.

Not sure if we're fortunate or not to play VAN during a slump. Either the slump continues and works in our favor, or they get psyched up to get back to form and obliterate us. I think it will be a good one regardless; would be happy with a point given we're playing at Rogers.

In those 2 games he played in, he out played several of the regular starters. He may be small but he has speed. But why change anything up, lets just keep the same crap lineup we've had all season. Obviously SK, Yip, Fisher, Erat, and Legwand (minus last 3 games) have been working amazingly well all season.

These line ups make no sense with what he has. It looks like he is trying to sink the team, not help them. A young player make some improvements, gains some confidence, Can't have that, bench him for a few games, that'll teach him.

Yeah, I thought Boychuk brought more offensively than Butler... and offense was the reason these guys were picked up in the first place.

Looks like Spaling back to center the fourth line, and Boychuk will take his place on the wing with Smith and Halischuk
Crazy to break up that combination of Spaling and Hali, should have moved Smith down to 4th if they wanted to move someone. Plus what was the point of calling up Mueller then?

Smith is the one making that line go. Why would you demote him? He's been playing great and should stay put. We're grooming him as our future top 6 centerman, not Spaling. Smith has firmly passed him on the depth chart.

My first choice would have been keeping that line together and inserting Mueller.

But it looks like the purpose of the Mueller call up (is that even official yet?) was to have an extra body during warm ups in case someone gets hurt or sick. In this case putting Spaling on line 4 makes the most sense since he's our least talented center.

My comment was strictly from the perspective that Halischuk and Spaling looked good together. Then in your case, they should have moved Clune up and moved those 2 down.

That's the same thing as demoting Smith...

Boychuk-Smith-Clune = 4th line

Smith is the better player and the future. He should be given the better linemates. Spaling and Halischuk aren't THAT amazing together. They played the way any 3rd line should.

I can just say I hope for one you are right, but I do feel like the end results would be best having Halischuk and Spaling together. Maybe move Yip up with Spaling to keep this and keep Clune on with Hali and Spals. Those 2 just seemed like they fed off each other in the last game, I really didn't notice Smith at all in that game other than his penalty.
