Eitehr evreyone has high hopes for Emelin or don't think that Fisher is that good, how the hell can anyone take Emelin over Fisher when he has so much upside, with Fisher in our depth, our only weakness is having a top center potential in the system with size, Grabo is amaizing, but he's Mike Ribeiro with speed

I picked Emelin cause he has the advantage of having proven himself more on big stages already: we saw him at the worlds U-20, he played in a elite senior league in Russia where apparently he did pretty well for himself.
Fischer looks like he's got a real nice skills set but he's a high-schooler; a project at this point. The upside is there but who knows how it's gonna pan out. That's why Emelin is a nose in front of him IMO. But rest assured he's next on my list, of course

You have to considere where those players are about in their development... Emelin has showed alot of promising since being drafted, he has been quite impressive in every areas of the game, he even stood out offensively in the last world junior championship with some impressive puck control skills and shots from the point.. OByrn is another solid one deserving to be ranked high, this guy is a real physical force with some impressive skating and overall skills (third round pick in the best draft ever, 2003)... IMO both Emelin and OByrn could have been first round picks, future should prove this.. Fisher's upside may be higher but he will have to prove himself at higher levels of competition, what Emelin and OByrn greatly did.
Emelin is a better prospect right now, and that is what the poll is for i believe(to determine who are Montreals best prospects in order right now!!)
EMELIN is further down the road in his development than Fisher. Fisher played high School hockey last season, He is still a big gamble. But a promising prospect none the less. But Emelin could play in Hamilton this season(russia is hard to exit these days). Emelin has played on the international stage and done very well.
for those and many other reasons i choose Emelin for the 6th spot on MTL's prospects list...
dude, re-read the post, i didn't say that Emelin has no upside, but Fisher can be a first pair 40-50 point type of D, his upside is HIGHER, i expect Emelin to be a 10G -20A 150 pim+ and hard hitting machine ala Kasparitis
I say let's make a quick informal poll amonst the rookies who didn't have the right to vote OFFICIALLY. Or just use the posts already written that give votes.
