It's pretty sad that he didn't get to play more games with the big club; he's still so young.

Just spoke to Danny Geoffrion, Blake's dad. He says Blake hasn't retired yet, but simply given notice to Canadiens that he's considering it.
Not official yet, it seems. I hope he can recover.

I thought that injury isn't supposed to be taken into account yet it;s staed right in the video?

The games seem reasonable for such a ******** hit. To me **** like that should be clamped down on even harder.

I'm fine with 4 especially given the short season

So Howard was sick and Detroit is playing their back up. They seem to get a break every home game it seems.

Bob McKenzie just said he would pick Brodin over Schultz for the Calder right now.

He voted Landeskog over Nugent-Hopkins last year.

Does he hate the Oilers?

Probably not, but Brodin is no threat to Schultz's Calder trophy aspirations.

...Muzzin on the other hand... ****ing Kings.

So what are the chances that Philly buys out Bryz this summer? He really hasn't settled in Philly at all. He's also got far too high a cap hit.

Are we talking about the Brodin that has three assists and is minus 2?

Flames getting outshot 19-9 and outplayed drastically. How can anyone think this is a good team?

He's play really well and Schultz seems to be slowing down a bit, doesn't surprise me. Brodin is 3 years younger and is playing on their top pairing with Suter. I've heard some Wild fans say that Brodin has actually been better than Suter this year... take it with a grain of salt I guess, fans tend to get excited over their prospects but he's looked very good to me.

Kipprusoff bails the Flames out and they capitalize on yet another backup goaltender.

Is there any team gifted more opportunities than Calgary?

Wings are also serving it up on a silver platter for them with a few horrendous giveaways.

Flames face more back-ups and teams on the 2nd half of a back-to-back in the league

and they still suck

Remember one thing my friends...for those that hate the Flames, we want them to be around .500....we do not want them drafting near the top 5 this year with all those great young players....let them draft in the usual 10 to 15th place thus assuring continued mediocrity for years to come......though I have to admit also, it is enjoyable watching them lose also...but we must look at the larger picture .....

IMO Brodin is pretty good defensively, wont win Calder/Norris because he wont put up the points, but really good defensively thus far, for a d at any age

While this is completely true, it's a little frustrating that the Flames, more often than not, face a team that was in Vancouver or Edmonton the night before and usually face the team's backup goalie because of one reason or another.

I remember last year during our season series with the Flames, 3 separate times when we faced them we played the night before. The reverse happened only once.

Its a battle i go through every game. Hopefully they heat up just before the TDL and Feaster doesnt make any moves. They are still a competitive team, much more competitive then Oilers when we finished in the basement. Iggy/Bouw/Kipper/Tanguay are capable players.

It would be shocking if they finished deadlast with those players

edit: as per Tencer 10/25 of Flames games they get a back-up. Gustsafvson/Bachman/(insert no name)

I agree...they have to much of a veteran presence to finish in the bottom 5.....but they are simply not good enough for a playoff spot either....I would have to assume that next year, Iggy and Kipper will be gone and then you can start seeing a Flame team that is rock bottom...but as long as they have those guys, they can stay around .500 ....
