LW no clue what they have. They are still developing.

C is the best bet.
Not true. Milwaukee had called up 3 D-men from Cincinnati. Bitetto is still playing in Milwaukee, Aronson and COR returned to the Cyclones. I assume that they are the 2 ECHL prospects.

Milwaukee has Scott Ford (3 games) back, but he was hurt. Piskula (5) is relatively new. Foss is out for the season (0?). Ekholm (41), Moore (37) and Valentine (49) have taken turns being injured this season during the 58 games that Milwaukee has played. That leaves Jarvinen (57) as the healthy guy back there. I have seen a lot of games where a guy got hurt in the first period and the Admirals ended up playing the other 5 to death. The coach rotates a forward on the point for power plays to give them some relief. If a D-man gets a penalty, he alternates the other four. It is like watching IHL hockey from 1967!

Milwaukee shutout Peoria 2-0. It is the third time against Peoria this season, 4th time overall this season. Peoria is in last place in the division, Milwaukee is third.

I saw Ekholm had 2 points. How has he been since coming back from injury?

Wow. Ekholm looks like a man among boys there.

Beck's showboating there may work in juniors, but that stuff won't fly in the NHL. He's not THAT good to be pulling that kind of stuff off.

He also managed to stay healthy all year, which was a concern in his draft year.

Draft mate Filip Forsberg scored 33 in 38 playing in the same league (45 point pace), so not too shaby being able to keep up with the 11th overall, highly touted pick (Forsberg is still a much more complete player though). Another draft year comparable, Collberg, played 15 games in the league and only notched 8 points (27 point pace). He played mostly in the SEL though (9 points in 35 games).

Overall, looked like a solid year for Aberg.
Djurgården failed to get promoted so Åberg has decided to move to Färjestads BK in the Swedish Elite League next year to play at the highest level possible.

Very sad for us Djurgården fans.

Yes, but that's a very good decision. He's going to put up a lot of points next year if he plays like he did the last few months. He'll also be on the same team as Max Görtz.

Don't know if he will get a top 6 role in Färjestad. I don't wish him well after leaving my team though.

It will be interesting to see how Åberg, Wennberg and Arnesson will do in the J20 playoffs, they should be pretty darn dominant there (they should play there, right?). Maybe they can win you a championship after all.

I dunno, Djurgården has a pretty weak J20 team this year. Since the first team got demoted to the second tier league, a bunch of players from the J20 team was good enough to step into the first team. Making the J20 weaker than for many years.

But yeah, Åberg has confirmed he will play there.

And that's one issue of our development of forwards right there. Let out forwards be creative let them make moves. It won't always be successful but we need the kind of display beck put on that play.
Don't hate on him, I wouldn't call it showboating. He did what he had to and they got a goal.

Would love to see players play with that creativity and confidence up here.

Agree, but it seems like Trotz would rather scrape by with 1 goal a game and good defense than try something new. 1 g/g is only going to get you so far

I think that he needs another year in Milwaukee. He has 11 G, 29 A in 49 games. He could stand a little more weight training, it would help him score more goals.

Mueller, Watson and Henderson have scored more goals than Beck. Although none of them have cracked the 20 line as yet.

He has come back slowly. He is finally looking like the same guy at the start of the season. He missed 17 of 59 games so far this season. He has 18 points and is a +6.

Posted this in the trade thread, but I thought this went here as well until we have a draft thread.

For reference sake, here are our following draft picks:

1st round: (1) Our selection
2nd round: (0) No selection. Traded to Montreal in the AK deal.
3rd round: (1) Tampa bay's draft pick.
- We do not have our selection - it was traded to NYR last year for a 2012 third round pick (89th overall, Brendan Leipsic)
4th round: (3) Our selection. Buffalo's selection (part of the Gaustad deal). Toronto's selection (part of the Lombardi trade - conditional pick based on games played which has been converted).
5th round: (2) Our selection. NYR selection (We traded our 2012 5th round pick [Thomas Spelling] for their 2013 5th round pick).
6th round: (1) Our selection.
7th round: (1) Our selection.
Total: 9 selections without a selection in the 2nd round.

PS - Excellent swap of third round picks by David Poile in 2012 for Brendan Leipsic.

Milwaukee won their season high 4th game in a row against Grand Rapids. GR is a division leader and the Red Wings affiliate.

Just looked at the standings ... Milwaukee has 20+ games to go up 1 spot (playoffs)

Puustinen with a blast from the top of the circle, Shalla with a great defensive play leading to his breakaway goal.
