I don't think this argument is really worth it.

They lost the superior players but we we're also the better team.
Karlsson, Spezza, Michalek and Cowen for them and Prust, Bourque and Diaz for us.
Are you actually comparing the impact of Karlsson, Spezza, Michalek, Cowen and Anderson to the one of our injured players? Come on... That's their 3 of their 4 best offensive players and their #1 goalie, who also happens to be the cream of the crop this year.

Take out Subban, Plekanec, Ryder, Emelin and Price and I'm not sure we would be in such a great shape.

We're depleted but not even close to the way the Sens are. I'm happy we got the job done and got the 2 pts but he is right we shouldn't have let them back in the game. At 3-1 it should have been over.

Yes. And it's definitely not a right time to brag about how we don't need Prust. Especially after a game like this, in which we were severely tossed around. We'll win a couple of those, but if it happens regularly, we'll end up being hurt/banged up and more vulnerable.

Not at all.
The argument was made that we let a depleted team come back in the game, but no one said that we were also missing our 2nd D, one top 6 winger and one of our leading forward. Oh and while actually icing a 3 games NHL-Vet.

They have much better AHL call-ups too.

That post is just so biased it's not even funny.

I hate and despise the Sens more than anyone here, but that's a load of ********. Karlsson is the best d-man in the league, Spezza is a 1st line centerman in 90% of the teams in the league, Cowen is a very good young stay-at-home D-man, and Michalek is a top-6 forward. Anderson is the best goalie of the league this year too.

There are no reasons why we should brag about our "mighty" win and how we don't need Prust after getting outmuscled all game long. None.

Either you didnt read my post or are some kind of crazy man, because I didnt say nothing biased Read it back, please.

I just said that we lost some pretty good pieces too .

Oh, also... Lehner and Bishop have been playing out of their minds too, so I don't really see the upgrade/downgrade those guy bring.

All in all, I think you're too easy on the trigger

I read your post pretty well. I still think the injury card should not be played against a team like the Sens. Nothing compares to what they're suffering.

I'd say Ottawas injuries are far worse.

Anderson was the best goalie in the league when he got hurt.. Those goalies are a definite downgrade.

Are you sure he said that? Because that's not what it sounded like last night on Antichambre.

No everyone loves Dumont. He has a future with this team that's for sure, but IMO that future starts next year when he replaces Armstrong

L'harceleur was dominant last night.

If the coaching staff gives him the right assets to play with and if he can continue to become more consistent, then he very well may be that big dominant center we've been waiting for.

Dumont is a good player(I wanted to say amazing, but I'm not going to upset no one.) and I think he could be some kind of offensive contributor too.

Wait till Bournival gets his call, he has a lot more offensive punch than Dumont and Therrien will have convulsions on set if he doesn't get PP time.

Might also make White redundant. I think he's got more upside. I don't see what White brings that Dumont doesn't (apart from 3 inches and 25 lbs).

Me too. Works his ass off, throws the body and drives the net.

Based on his assist last night it looks like he's been watching Gallagher play.

As for Eller, I'm sure it's been said a lot but personally it's the best game I've seen him play. He was awesome last night.

I don't think Dumont can take the same kind of opponent White can in a brawl though.
I don't think it makes Whitey redundant, he's something we need and don't have.
A somewhat big RH C, capable of fighting with most of them and sound defensive play.

White will be there until we find an upgrade for Moen that can actually bring the sandpaper, then he'll be expandable. White is Pyatt with grit, no more. And apparently, from what I've read/heard, anyone can play PK...
