East

1. Montreal vs 8. Rangers
2. Pittsburgh vs 7. New Jersey
3. Carolina vs 6. Toronto
4. Boston vs 5. Ottawa

West

1. Chicago vs 8. Minnesota
2. Anaheim vs 7. Detroit
3. Vancouver vs 6. Phoenix
4. Los Angeles vs 5. St. Louis

My picks are in bold. Hardest was Habs vs Rangers, had to go with the homer pick... but honestly could go either way. Feel the same way with LA vs STL.

You think Detroit would beat Anaheim?

Any Wings fans around here(including me) will tell you they'd be lucky to win one game.

Got a guy whose only goal is an EN playing on Datsyuk's wing.

Also think the Ducks win the Cup this year.

3 losses in a row, I doubt the Maple Leafs are getting past the 1st round if the playoffs started today

1. Montreal vs 8. Rangers . 4-2
NYR have no Nash, no depth and the D is banged up. MTL is the exact opposite.

2. Pittsburgh vs 7. New Jersey. 4-2
Assuming Malkin is back. Crosby - Kunitz dominate but MAF is average at best.

3. Carolina vs 6. Toronto. 4-1
No Ward no problem. Staal vs Bozak as the #1C matchup.

4. Boston vs 5. Ottawa. 4-0
It's looking like a good year for the Bruins.

West

1. Chicago vs 8. Minnesota. 4-1
Suter averages 30+ minutes but the Hawks have too much depth.

2. Anaheim vs 7. Detroit. 4-3
Dats as the #2C is unfair matchup wise.

3. Vancouver vs 6. Phoenix. 4-3
Kesler-less Canucks win in the most boring 7 game series of all time.

4. Los Angeles vs 5. St. Louis. 4-2
Very similar teams, LA has the edge in gamebreakers.

I wouldn't say exact opposite... last time I checked, the Habs have nobody with the name of Nash on their team

Habs in 5, they own the Rangers.
Pens in 6, unless Marty is back tomorrow.
Canes in 6, Leafs have not been that good lately.
Bruins in 5, they're simply the better team, OTT still has Karlsson and Spezza out.

Hawks in 5, the talent is great, their D is better and Crawford/Emery have been good.
Detroit in 7, they have a 3-1 advantage when Perry gets back - too late.
Yotes in 6, Vancouver somehow seems to have some issues this season.
Kings in 5, don't see the Blues going far, if Halak doesn't improve.

Bergevin brings back a fan favourite.

1. Montreal vs 4. Boston. 4-2
I like Montreal but I can't see it happening.

2. Pittsburgh vs 3. Carolina. 4-0
Staal - Staal vs Crosby - Malkin. Enough said.

West

1. Chicago vs 7. Detroit. 4-3
Chicago looks human but Keith regains form.

3. Vancouver vs 4. Los Angeles. 4-2
Ok yeah the Kesler-less Canucks stand no chance but imagine a CHI-VAN west finals.

BOS vs PIT. 4-1
MAF/Vokoun are the weak link on the best skating corps in the league.

CHI - VAN. 4-2
Beatdown. Plain and simple.

CHI vs BOS finals. I'd start watching the NBA at this point.

LA is really the only team I'd hate to see in the playoffs because of their size. The Blues defense just get pushed around to much by them.

Any of the other teams, I'm confident the Blues could beat.
