It was 1-0 Waterloo after 2, and they got another in the 3rd. Alberta just scored to make it 2-1.

Im teasing the Golden Bear fans by saying overrated by the way, no question Alberta was the stronger team by evidence of the 43-12 shots on goal, but cest la vie and hockey and this tournament, run into a hot goalie and thats how she goes

Did a couple of times for me too, including Waterloo's second goal I think, I know just when they went on the PP for Lazo's 2 and 10, away it went. When it came back, Alberta was swarming, that last play of the game was unbelievable!

Wow. I figured midnight had struck for Waterloo. Is this a case of Waterloo being a Cinderella run or is the OUA just this much tougher of a conference than Canada West? I don't follow CIS hockey all that closely, so I am not trying to bait anyone, I honestly don't know.

Credit Union Centre does have a habit, like most venues, of reporting tickets sold too. So I would imagine that being a Thursday afternoon, many corporate tickets went unused.

Oh hell yeah, the first two periods, I could see where they definitely held the edge, but in the third when they started pushing up the def on the rush, Well Katie bar the door. Yup, happens often enough.

I think in this case it is more of a Cinderella run...I mean look at the shots on goal and how badly Alberta carried the play. Hartigan is playing out of his mind right now and they take advantage of the opportunities they get on offence.

Alberta fans now know how Windsor's, Lakehead's and especially Western's fans feel. The old, how did we just lose to these guys? Congrats to Waterloo and to Keaton Hartigan for another great playoff performance.

Would anyone be shocked if every one in this pool ends up 1-1? If Alberta had given up an ENG and went down 3-1 I think they would have been done, but only losing by 1 goal they are still very much in it.

When is the last time Alberta has lost to an Ontario-based team? Or lost 4 UCup games in a row, as is the case right now?

I feel for Saint Mary's, Alberta is going to come out flying tomorrow. This pool may come down to goals for and against, as I expect Alberta will beat Saint Mary's and Saint Mary's will beat Waterloo on Saturday.

Are the UNB fans nervous now? The upset mojo is in the building now. Go Huskies go!!

That wouldn't surprise me...it will basically come down to whether or not SMU beats Waterloo by more than Alberta beats SMU.

cant say what the outcome of the SMU Alberta game tommorow will be but I can tell you Alberta will be facing another rock solid goaltender in Peters for SMU so it wont be any easier for them, difference is St Mary's will get as much shots on goal tomorrow as Alberta does them

There was legitimately 5000+ kids in the upper level for the game, out of view on the webcast. Lower bowl was a barren wasteland, but the 6,200 was probably pretty legit.

Or Hartigan has two more games like today and we're all watching Waterloo skate around the rink with the University Cup on Sunday. Imagine that!

Ask lakehead about hartigan.... In the final game of that series in Thunder Bay lakehead out shot them by more than a 2/1 margins and still lost. Have watched hartigan for a while know there is no doubt he is among the best in the CIS if not the best. Lets go OUA!
