Yeah I heard that too. Apparently he was really impressive at his pro day. I don't really want them to draft him with the 4th pick but it sounds like they have no other choice. I don't think they can trade down and get him because there are other teams in the top 10 that are interested.
Can't possibly be worse than last year. Hopefully, the offensive schemes will emphasize the strengths of what we have now, because I don't foresee any other major moves on that side of the ball. So much D added in free agency; I wonder how this affects the draft strategy?
Not sure I like Kendricks in the middle there, taking on OL regularly, but we'll see what happens.
I hope we take a chance on the honey badger at the draft...2nd/3rd round maybe.
Ideally, where Kendricks would play, he would be protected by space eaters up front to allow him to play sideline to sideline which is to his strength. He played inside in the 3-4 at Cal and was very effective, so it's not like he's completely foreign to the scheme.
I don't trust him in pass coverage though, he has barely covered anyone the past 7 years.
We'll see what happens though, a lot of offseason is left.
That's why I said it's either LB or he'll get traded. He would have been a really good fit 8 years ago when he was drafted, but that was 40 pounds or so ago. I hope they trade him now while he has some value, but's it's going to be hard with his salary and sub par performance last year.
