NYI-TB and NYR-WPG are really critical games in this playoff race. Tampa is pretty much ****ed if they lose tonight. NYR and WPG are battling for supremacy on the 8/9 threshold.

it seems early, but we're in the stretch run now.

Ha, I just found out that you North Americans turned to daylight savings time. Sweet (at least for the next couple of weeks).

Until the 1st of April. Very welcome for us Europeans.

A couple good moves by the leafs for their game against Pittsburgh tonight. Installing some mobility from the backend is long overdue as is the inclusion of Scrivens. Lately Reimer has been overplaying shots at a level i've never seen before as well as failing miserably to track the puck. The changes may not be sufficient to defeat Pittsburgh but i believe it provides them with a better chance.

I'd love to see the Jets get in. I know what game I'll be watching tonight. A real 4 pointer. Torts is gonna lose it if NYR don't win.

Leafs - Pens, game of the night for me. Expect some sort of physical retribution on JVR, or anyone else really, for the Malkin shoulder injury.

I'll set the preliminary line at 8.5 for points from the Crosby line.

Let's Go PENS!
It should be a physical game. I'm not expecting anything out of the ordinary; the hit on Malkin was clean. The Pens are more interested in the 2 points. I do expect Dion to be in Sid's face the entire game and to put the body on him when he can.

20-22 games left for most teams. Definitely the stretch run here, each game is huge.

I expect someone to challenge Dion to fight, and Dion to skate away.

I'm trying to get my head around the conundrum that this season can be, at the same time, a small sample size and in the stretch run.

End of period.

Huberdeau is playing well.

Clemmensen's mask is ugly.

the RSN's (regional sports networks, eg rogers sportsnet ontario, tsn-jets, etc) were all promised ~40 games this season per team i think.
