Colts motto in free agency = "Shut up and take my money"

Walden, Toler, Cherilius and now RJF.

I actually liked RJF alot, but holy god. That's an awful amount of money.

Sounds like Aso signed a deal with SF. Same with Delmas.

Saints sign Keenan Lewis.

Deal is 5 years 26mil, 11 guaranteed. Apparently turned down bigger deal from another team to come home.

Delmas was falsey reported, but he's expected to end up there.

I'm really happy with Lewis. Him, Greer and PRob solidify a CB rotation that should do well in man coverage.

Drafting a Vaccaro should become a priority though.

People are mocking the Dolphins for all the money they've spent.

But Indianapolis....good lord

RJF is a good depth guy but 5 mil a year? Holy ****. I never as a 49er fan thought he'd get that.

It's a great signing. Greer won't be around forever, Corey White needs to be bumped down and Patrick Robinson cannot be allowed to start next year.

Lewis is a great signing for the Saints. He was the best player on the Steelers last year outside of Heath Miller. It took him a few years to figure things out but he is hugely underrated and should work out well in New Orleans. Mad we let him go.

Bucs DE Michael Bennett is seemingly headed to the Dolphins. Not confirmed but apparently it's close.

As a Colts fan im generally okay with every move they've done, except that dreadful Walden pickup. Yes, they overpaid virtually all of their acquisitions but its hardly significant in the long run (other than to Irsay's wallet). Most of these contracts are front loaded so they won't hinder the team in re signing all their young talent in a few years. Plus the team needed to spend 30 mill just to reach the cap floor. Now the team can walk into the draft and not have to shop excessively for need but can instead build towards long term growth and grab the BPA.

The Walden signing is atrocious though, at least the other players were half decent in performance.

Sounds like there was a pretty big market for the guy, being able to play all three spots on a 3-4.

Grigson seems to be really banking on upside with a lot of these signings. I don't think any are for guys over 28, but other than Landry and Cherilus, none have proven too much. Seems to be hope guys like Thomas and RJF can go from great reserves to quality starters. The Walden one still seems puzzling, though.

There's reports that Manningham has restructured his contract from 3.6 million to 1.6 million. 49ers could be looking to sign someone soon.

Possibly. Also just reducing his salary so he avoids getting cut. That was a real possibility especially since he probably will be on the PUP list to start the season.

And the Colts must've seen something in RJF that I never saw. Dude got paid.

Ya I forgot to mention that it was his base salary that got restructured. He could still make more depending if he accomplishes certain things.

Better not leave Minny without a contract.
