Talked to a source in the organization today. Not going to give names, not sure what I am able to say or not.
A trade is about to be completed for an AHL goalie. Would not indicate who would be involved.
10 days from now we should be getting most on IR back in Charlotte.
Peters and Nash will be made eligible for the Checkers playoffs.
Rask, Murphy, Levi and maybe Lowe will be reporting to the Checkers once their seasons end.
Nothing on the severity of Beiga's injury yet, too early to tell.
Mostly good news I have never been a Checkers fan, but since Dalpe was sent back the first time I have been listening to most of their games and following them closely. They have been decimated with injuries and after tonights disappointment, they need all the help they can get. Glad everyone is getting healthy though.

One ******** call and one missed call ****ed them tonight.
Diving ass ***** drew a penalty, and then Muse got his stick slashed out of hands then scored on.

In a move that could potentially add goaltending depth, goaltender Mike Murphy is back in Charlotte and has begun practicing with the Checkers.
At the time of Murphy first taking the ice with the team at noon Tuesday, there had been no announcement of a formal agreement or contract of any kind with either the Carolina Hurricanes, who still own his NHL rights as a restricted free agent, or with the Checkers at the AHL level.
wow. this is unexpected. i mean, to those who dont know anything about his departure, this seems obvious. but those of us who know what was said on his way out, im really surprised.

Well, it's not like this organization ever did him wrong. He clearly made a bad decision based on having the wrong attitude (hardly the first time a young guy in his first job has done that) and hopefully he'll show a little more respect for that paycheck this time around.
Exactly how good/mediocre/bad was he in the KHL? Did anybody see him in action?
He was downright awful. Really got exposed on the big ice. I'm sure you've seen the stats, too. Out of 50-some-odd goalies he was dead last in sv % and gaa. You've gotta be pretty friggin brutal to get released like that.
I think Mr. Murphy discovered a big ol' life lesson for himself in Mother Russia. My guess is that the past 6+ months have been very tough for him, and I'm hoping that means that he's a more mature and dedicated athlete than he was previously.
Have I missed something with biega? This seems a ridiculous amount of time to not have said anything at all yet. I know it's the ahl. I know I shouldn't expect it to be like the NHL, but this seems to be weird quiet. Did they announce something and I missed it?
