There's no way Bonk or Plekanec get such high numbers with third line roles.

I also thikn you were very generous with Perezhogin, Dandenault, Murray and Komisarek.

I doubt he comes close to that. There's no way he plays anywhere above the 4th line at all this season. He only scored 4 goals after Nov 15th last season and none after Jan 31st, and none in the playoffs. No way he hits 16 goals in a reduced role this season.

Chris Higgins: 10 goals, 9 assists, 19 points, and that's all I'm going to make predictions for until I see who is tearing things apart in training camp a la Hossa.

Good numbers for Perezhogin, I hope he'll bounce back.

1st Line
Michael Ryder 82 43 31 74
Saku Koivu 75 18 56 74
Chris Higgins 78 29 23 52

I really expect a huge year for Ryder and an improved production from Higgins nearing the 30 goal mark. And of course another steady performance by Saku.

2nd Line
Alex Kovalev 79 35 51 86
Mike Ribeiro 82 19 47 66
Sergei Samsonov 68 27 33 60

I have a feeling this line is really going to click together. If all three players play 82 games they could have an absolute monster year.

3rd Line
Mike Johnson 82 16 40 56
Tomas Plekanec 70 20 22 42
Radek Bonk 64 12 24 36

Plekanec will keep on the rise, Bonk will do better and Johnson will have a solid season.

4th Line
Alexander Perezhogin 72 19 21 40
Steve Begin 70 14 13 27
Garth Murray 43 8 13 21
Andrei Kostitsyn 25 10 10 20
Kyle Chipchura 15 3 6 9

It's Perezhongin's time to shine, if someone is injured on the top 2 lines he will be the ideal guy to fill in. Bégin will keep proving his worth as the ideal 4th liner. If Kostitsyn is promoted to the big club I have a strong feeling he will do well.

D
Andrei Markov 82 22 42 64
Sheldon Souray 80 16 24 40
Craig Rivet 82 8 22 30
Francis Bouillon 70 7 18 25
Mike Komisarek 82 10 10 20
Mathieu Dandenault 66 4 12 16
Mark Streit 24 5 5 10

An absolute off year for Dandenault and a very strong showing by Markov (clicking with Samsonov and Kovalev)

Well since he's predicting we score 305 goals this season, Those totals might be correct
[edit: go_habs_go is predicting 305 goals, fredez predicting 363, the highest in 14 years]

It's also not too often 305 goals result in 557 assists. Though possible this seems pretty high, since Detroit scored 305 goals last season, with only 506 assists. I'm all for getting excited about the upcoming season, but scoring 300 goals would put us in contention for the President's trophy (a nice thought, but not expected I don't think)

My goals total is 345 and you are absolutely right, there is little chance of us scoring that much goal. I didn't look at it globally, I looked at it for each player individually and maybe that's not the right way to do it.

Let's just say that it's the best case scenario
