There's one at Cobbs too, but that's been sold out. The SJ ones just went on sale, so get 'em fast if you wanna attend.

This is one time where I wish I lived in LA. At the Hollywood Improv screening, Adam Devine will be there to do standup, with Montez hosting. Screw that shib!
Damn, sounds like good times all around. Wonder how Devine will do live.

There are videos of him doing stand-up live. He's not bad.

I've long since believed that the more often a trailer commercial is aired on TV, the worse the movie it's advertising must be. So if you see the same movie's commercial every single break in a program, it must be awful and the advertisers are just trying to get the movie so stuck in your head that you won't pay attention to the inevitable negative press. (it only holds true to a point. Past a certain, completely insurmountable amount of terribleness, they'll just stop advertising the movie altogether.

So with that in mind, it seems a pretty safe bet that the GI Joe sequel is going to be just as terrible as the first movie.

But with that said, there does seem to be one redeemable piece of that movie compared to the first one:

I'll be damned if that doesn't look completely badass. It almost undoes whatever the hell they decided to do with the JGL Cobra Commander in the first movie.

Still looks like an awful movie though. Won't be seeing it until it pops up on TV.

The best thing about GI Joe is the Seven Nation Army dubstep remix.

Much as I might be tempted to, I believe that falls under the "grievous misuse of power" provision of being a moderator.

Nem, on the new GI Joe movie. As someone who as a kid was as obsessed with GI Joe as a kid as humanly possible, I will say Larry Hama would be proud of the Snake Eyes mountain repelling ninja battle. Other than that I have very low hopes.

See, now I saw that mountainside battle and thought "seriously?" oh and the part in the trailer where Snake Eyes shoots Storm Shadow's shurikens out of mid-air.

But, I've already sat through Michael Bay raising my hopes with the 1st Transformers only to crush them with the next 2, and all the lead-up to what he's apparently doing to mutilate TMNT, so I have very little hope that anything fun from my childhood can be salvaged into a good modern movie.

Well since he is casting Megan Fox as April O'Neal how can it possibly be bad?!

Wow, somehow Cooch worked his way into a Washington Post article about how Obama's approval rating has "stumbled" due to the sequestration bill.

Haha, yeah that's classic. At first I thought the photo got in there accidentally, but then I noticed there was a caption to go along with it.

Randomly tuned in to Bad Company on FX and right away saw Eli from Boardwalk Empire and Roger Sterling. Mind=blown.

edit: and the Puerto Rican guy from Rescue Me.

Pelosi and Eschoo (local Bay Area US congressfolk) included in US delegation to Vatican for Pope Francis' delegation. Flying commercial as Congress/VP's access to military jets part of sequestration cuts.
