Don't understand how he can pull out ***** like that on penalty shots then flub every shootout attempt.

Why he was given a penalty shot is anybodies guess really.

More stellar NHL officiating.

I think Nash would rather have that than a 2 min PP with only 2 mins and some seconds left in the game.

How he can do that, and be so awful in the shootout is beyond me

I think every Canucks fan wanted a power play rather than penalty shot, then Henrik trolls everyone hard with that move.

A few guys on the team have tried the "Harry Potter" stick wave in the shootout. Henrik does it successfully, then pulls Mason across before tucking it forehand.

Flashback to Henrik's other penalty shot goal from November 1, 2010:

0:40:

Somehow, penalty shots bring out the best in him while shootouts leave him confused.

This.

When he got the call, I turned to my very uninterested wife and said: "Oh...great. Just watch. You know how you asked me why the Sedins are never in the shootout? Well, here. You can see. Watch. Look. You looking? Here he goes...and...and...YEAAHHH!!!! WOOO!!! Uh...what? Oh yeah, shootouts...hon? You watching? Huh? you see that? Huh?"

Nice move, Hank! Yeah, pretty much a BS call from the ref, but I'll take it.

And yet he has one of the worst shootout attempts...... What a guy.

Not even close.
Let's give the other teams best player an uncontested breakaway <<<<<<< chance for a short handed goal in what was still a one goal game

BS penalty shot changed the complexion of the game. It restored the two goal lead and seconds later Nash pulled the goalie and gave up an empty netter.

Great call
He was probably picturing Daniel cycling off the boards into the back of the net

At the time I'd rather have a PP. The difference between a successful penalty shot and a PP conversion isn't that great, but with a PP even if you don't score you only leave Nashville with 30 seconds to come back 5 on 5.

The Canucks took advantage of a powerplay opportunity in the final two minutes of a game in Dallas earlier this season by playing keep-away with two minutes left in the game. The Stars were down by only one goal, so the Canucks killed the final two minutes of the match by passing the puck around in the Stars' zone.

All Canucks fans wanted a penalty, would of been easy to do what we did in Dallas and ensure a win. Good for Hank though
