Man, we really are a lucky team this year if our problem is dealing with an overabundance of skill and hard workers.

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Ryder
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta

Moen - Prust - Armstrong/dumont/white

or.. since there seems to be good chemistry right now, he could simply move Dumont down (or off) and put Bourque with Galchenyuk and Eller

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher
Ryder - Plekanec - Gionta
Galchenyuk - Eller - Bourque
Moen - Prust - Armstrong/dumont/white
I don't think he should...i've really liked armstrongs play......he's been really realy solid defensively.....i'm not gonna pretend that i wasn't crossing my fingers for a return to the 15 goal mark...but if he can go out on the ice and not let the other team score goals while your top lines rest...i don't see a problem with that.....i think playing bein centered by white most of the time is hurting them....dude just isnt made to produce...love the engergy but he just hasnt seemed to be bringing it this past little while....i say we upgrade on white....if we could get talbot out of philly....that would be just fantastic....he's having kind of a down year i know...but he's a therrien guy and he's a factor in the playoffs.

Trade Bourque before its too late. He will become lazy again and he has trouble scoring unless net is open. I don`t know how many good chances he had to score and didn`t happen.

WHAT A GREAT PROBLEM TO HAVE TOO MANY GOOD FORWARDS. So don't anyone complain be glad we finally have depgh at forward. Here are the lines I would go with.

Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty- Desharnais - Gallagher
Prust - Eller - Ryder
Galchenyuk - White - Moen

We would have size and skill on all 4 lines. I know it isn't ideal to play Galchenyuk on the fourth line but injuries happen and he would be the first forward moved up to the top 3 lines. I would have Armstrong as the 13th forward and I would send Dumont back to the AHL knowing that he can be called up if needed and fill a hole if we need him to. All I would add to that group of forwards is a 14th guy that could play a couple times a month when we play tough temas like boston/ottawa/toronto.

I think these are going to be the line combo's as well:

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Galchenyuk - Eller - Ryder
Moen - Prust - White

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - PK
Bou - Tinordi
Kaberle

I think it's a good idea to isolate Prust when he first comes back as seperated shoulders are a tough injury to fully heal, especially when you're a player like Prust. I'd rotate Prust in for any forward struggling on the top 3 lines in the mean time.

I think it's awesome that we have this much depth and I think we should add some more or at least try to upgrade on the bottom pairing to get even more depth for a playoff push. You just know we'll have some injuries in the post season and you can't trade for depth then.

If we suffer another injury up front before Prust and Bourque return, I blame this thread.

To be fair to BJG, Ryder was already ''hurt'' before the thread it appears.

Don't see a spot for Dumont on team, not really a scorer, not really a fighter, not really big. Can't score enough to be on 3rd line, too small for 4th line.

People discounting Brandon Prust already.

Only one player on the team has fewer giveaways than Prust. Gallagher (not going to count White for obvious reasons).

Prust has the same number of goals as Eller and one less than Bourque.

Prust has the second most hits behind Emelin.

Prust has a +13, highest on the team.

And Prust has given confidence to the two Gallys and will stand up for his line mates.

So yeah, lets send Prust down to the 4th line.

I would like to see a little bit different

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher
Ryder-Plekanec-Gionta
Bourque-Eller-Galchenyuk
Moen-Prust-Armstrong (only because he wont be benched)

Markov-Emelin
Subban-Gorges
Tinordi-Diaz/Bouillon

Price
Budaj

Yea I don't see Prust being sent down on the 4th line. Therrien is smarter than that.

As much as I like Prust. If our top 9 is complete and the only spot left for him is on the 4th line, than that is a luxury for us. Are we counting on Prust to be an offensive and productive player now?

Who do you see Prust getting more offense then on our top 9 or would swap place with Prust (if our line up is complete) Ryder? Bourque? Pacioretty? Gionta? Gallagher? Galchenyuk? Eller?

Its not about "liking" Prust.

Its more about understanding what Prust does for this team that would be wasted on the 4th line. And I am not talking about dropping the gloves either.

You've got 2 RH shots on your 2nd line and 3 LH shots on your 3rd.

He's not lazy, he was injured last season. He has been spectacular so far, and you want to reward him by trading him? He is now a valued member of our top 6. No way should we trade him, he is the type of player we need.

maybe a good idea to actually see a bit more out of Dumont before even worrying about keeping him up.

Its pretty easy for a player to be playing on adrenaline after his call up only to fall back after the first few games. The only player he is even possibly better than is Armstrong and even then with a fully healthy lineup, Moen is still ahead of him

Stick Bourque back with plekanec/gionta

Use prust for whichever line needs a spark. He can play anywhere.

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Ryder
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta/Gallagher
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher/Gionta
Prust - White - Moen

Prust takes Galchenyuk's spot when protecting leads.
