Ravens S Ed Reed spoke today like a man saying goodbye to Baltimore. Every sign now points to him getting done a deal in Houston on Friday.

Reed for Barwin?

I'll take it. Especially if Cushing can finally stay healthy.

Seattle adds DE Michael Bennett. Adds to an already deep D-line. 1 yr, $5M.

This arms race = awesome.

That poor guy keeps getting his threads deleted because the deal isn't done but it sounds like Ed Reed will sign with the Texans tomorrow.

Seeing Reed play somewhere else is going to be awful, but I'll never be able to cheer against the man.

At the Vikings meeting with Greg Jennings: Rick Spielman, George Paton, Leslie Frazier and Jared Allen.

All signs point to him signing there.

Is this gonna be like when Houshmandzadeh and Tomlinson were "virtual locks" to sign with us too and didn't? On Tomlinson I even remember his Vikings jersey being put up for sale on NFL Shop. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ikings-jersey/

We lucked out with Housh not signing though.

Really, really dumb of the Buccaneers here. Bennett is no superstar, but he's been the only consistent defensive lineman on the roster for three years.

He might be a bit of an overachiever, but that's still one-third of our sacks last season gone because we didn't want to match a one-year, $5 million deal with some $30 million in cap space.

And no matter how badly this team wants guys like Goldson and Revis, all that money on those guys ain't going to make a lick of difference if we continue to fail miserably at getting even close to the quarterback.

As a 49er fan who has watched Goldson since he was a rookie..he can get exposed in coverage and when the 49ers pass rush went cold..he was getting burned. Hes a hammer and is great at making impact plays but hes prone to making bad reads in coverage and it will drive you crazy.

not to mention that because of the fact that he always goes for the big hit, he whiffs alot because he doesn't wrap up the ball carrier. This wasn't a problem last season all that much but it was a problem every other season.

Panthers WR Louis Murphy is visiting the Giants today. Hope it's just as a 3rd/4th WR along with Randle and doesn't mean Cruz is a goner.

They needed a return man and he should fill that role just fine.

Patriots hosting Adrian Wilson and John Abraham. Rumors are that Abraham will sign.

Not huge on Wilson, as he has declined, but if the money is right then why not.

Don't want either. Reed wants too much and Revis is coming off a major injury.

Pats signed WR Donald Jones.

Guess he won't have to worry about this anymore

Also RE: Patriots hosting Freeney and Abraham...word is it's not Freeney vs Abraham. The Pats are potentially interested in signing both.

How would their defensive line look with both?

Tough to say. Both aren't exactly young, so they wouldn't see every snap. BB likes to use some different sub packages anyway, so I'm sure he could come up with some interesting packages. Never hurts to have depth on the DL.

Revis is recovering very well and if he does get 100% he is the best in football at his position.. how can you not want that..

49ers have other needs than CB. Wasting money and picks for one year of Revis isn't smart. Nnamdi Asomugha and Louis Delmas are both interested in signing in S.F. Cost effective and you keep your 1st.
