Don't really see who the Gmen missed out on not signing. Especially given the cap issues.

Looks like they'll keep him around for the summer. He has no trade value. They may let him compete in camp. He has no shot at any real playing time though, and I'd be shocked if he was on the roster this year.

How in the hell do they keep him? Makes no sense to even have him anywhere near the team, we all know he's as good as gone.
Then again, this is one of the worst managed franchises in all of Football.
I wonder if the Giants take a cheap flyer on Kevin Boss. Not sure if he's broken or not but at least its a cheap familiar option.
He should retire. Too many concussions. I actually fear for his health.

Think Idzik is doing this right so far, gave Willie Colon a 1 year deal, not bad if he can stay healthy, big if. I like the Goodson signing, has been buried on rb depth charts in Carolina and Oakland. Still young, and should have fresh legs.
I'm glad he didn't overpay for some of the Jets that signed with other teams so far. I loved Mike Devito, good run stopper, but he got paid too much. I would have tried to bring back Keller on a one year deal that he took with Miami, but oh well. Can't trust Laron Landry on a four year deal, think the Colts have spent a lot of money this year on some questionable players.
Something wrong when Stephen Jackson and Shonn Greene almost get the same deal. Next two drafts and what they do with Revis will be the key to the rebuild.
Jets are better without Keller. He's a gutless player who can't block, won't make the hard play, and drops the ball too much. I've never been a fan of his and I think you guys are better off without him.
Sounds like a younger Chase Blackburn to me, which isn't really a bad thing. From his career so far I don't think he's really an answer to our MLB problems but hopefully he's a good stopgap.
I like the Myers signing, but not sure I like the Connor signing. Look, this is what the Giants have been doing for years now: signing these average to below average stop-gaps to play LB and not finding a long-term solution. Barrett Green, Danny Clark, Carlos Emmons, Keith Bulluck, Kawika Mitchell, Lavarr Arrington, Keith Rivers, and now Connor. Even guys like Boley and AP, though they were good for us, were only temporary solutions.
The Giants will take BPA no matter the round. The only weak spot right now is at guard. The rest is depth through the draft. I'm also worried about backup QB I don't like Curtis Painter.
P.S.
Myers is a great signing as a pass catching TE. If you can put those numbers in Oakland just imagine the middle of the field when people have to worry about Cruz and Nicks plus a running game. Teach him to block some though. Still draft a blocking tight end.
As far as the Jets are concerned. They cut and lost pretty much everyone and everything they had to lose except the QB and more importantly and I think their biggest problem, THE HEAD COACH.

Kind of irrelevant. If Eli gets hurt, the team is doomed. Doesn't Matt who the backup is.

His career means nothing right now since he was completely miscast in a 3-4.

I think the Giants can probably resign him for less but I'm not holding my breath. I think they'll probably go Oline in the first with a guard or in the second. As far as TE though, Adrien Robinson sure looks the part and is ridiculously strong and athletic but is learning the system still. I do expect him to be the TE of the not too distant future but getting Myers makes me relax a little because we will have an NFL tight end who can do some damage right away. Although if you saw Robinson in person and see him run and jump, you can see why the Giants are taking their time with him. He's like Martellus Bennett physically except with a lot more speed and better hands, but he can't block as well. I mean we'll see he certainly looks like he can block though. He has the build of JPP. Having said that, regarding the backup QB. I disagree. I think you must have a solid backup. In the NFL every single game counts. Usually the team that doesn't get in to the dance because of one loss, like the Giants have for the last 3 out of 4 years, regret that one game they blew or gave away that they should have won. And the Giants have been lucky that those games were lost not because the QB was down our out. But that is usually the case in a lot of teams. Yeah if Eli goes down for the year we are screwed. But if he only goes down or a game or two? Then what? That is what backup Qb's are for. To manage a game or not lose you one and if they can win one great. They become decent commodities that turn into picks from desperate teams. I value the backup quarterback a lot because he is only one bad hit away from making or breaking your season. It's great Eli is an ironman so far. But I am not holding my breath with that. You never know in this most violent of all sports.

True, but playing out of position doesn't completely explain his lack of explosiveness. He should be alright, a faster Chase, but he still lacks great mobility and movement.
At least from what I've seen in my research since we've found him. Maybe going to a 4-3 masks his deficiencies really well.
