I am currently keeping track of people who don't care about the problem I posted numerous times about the wildcard system. When they ***** and moan when their favorite team gets screwed by winning their division and facing a tougher team than the second place team in their division's opponent, I'll show them their post.
I saw you complaining about how no one was paying attention to this problem in the BoH thread. Meanwhile, I posted the same scenario on the page before the first time you put it up, it was discussed, we moved on. Not anyone's fault that you didn't bother reading what came before.

Every rival does not have to be in the same division under the current format. BOS/PHI is a good one. PIT/WAS is great. CHI/VAN out West has been heated for years. Not only that, but you play a ton within your division and the games get really nasty. That's why it worked so well. But no. Let's scrap it because Detroit is whining. The NHL didn't invent time zones. Up until now, they drew a line between the 30 teams. The 15 to the east were in the East. The 15 to the west were in the West. Yea, it created a couple problems, but the solution to that is not to come up with some ridiculous format that solves a couple problems for a couple teams and creates more for everybody else.
When we get through next year and realize we go months without seeing the Flyers, or Isles, or Devils... you'll understand why this absolutely blows. Enjoy your Jackets/Rangers games! WOW! Bad blood there.
The rivalry building is about the playoffs. Personally, I think they need to tweak the wild card by reseeding crossovers and only implementing the crossover rules when the top 8 in the conf don't match the top 4 in the divisions. Also at issue is the fact, and it is a fact, that 6 division alignments are near impossible to schedule when the demand of the WC teams is for games against every team in the league. You either lose games against your division rivals or you lose them against the conference rivals.
Bos/Phi, Chi/Van. These are rivalries bred by the playoffs. There will be others that are just as good. They'll just be within the division instead of with the conference.

I guess I should check threads over a week from when I post something to see if there's a bigger conversation on what I was talking about.

i see that other teams are having scrums on a regular basis. when was the last time NYR had one?? maybe that will help them become a better team.. they arent the physical team this used to be.. Rangers do miss guys like Dubinsky Prust.... i want a Matt Beleskey/Kyle Cifford type player.... Rangers are too bland and no personality...

Rangers need more of that..... Rangers bottom in fights and out of the playoffs.... last year top in league in fights and one of the better teams in the NHL... i think its a sign...

I agree with you. It's really frustrating to watch the team get pushed around all over the ice.
When Rick Nash is the guy that goes over to Wheeler after he shoots the puck after an offsides whistle you've got issues.

Still irks me they just let Parenteau walk. Same thing will happen with MZA in the not-so-distant future
The problem with PAP was that he had an entitlement issue. He was never able to earn a spot on the team in Chicago, and the same thing happened here. He thought his play in the AHL would earn him a spot on the roster out of camp, and it never happened. Renney hated guys like that and so does Torts.
The best thing that ever happened to him was winding up on a team with little competition at his position, and very low expectations as an organization. He made the best of it and he's doing well for himself now.
I really want to see Hugh Jessiman play a game with the Rangers. Is there something wrong with me?
he couldnt make a bad Panthers team although he played 2 games in the NHL with them. i hope that scouting staff is gone.... he has to be the biggest bust in Rangers draft history. im shocked Jessiman didnt retire yet... i know i wouldnt want to be known as the 2003 first round bust

So the Leafs have two options to free spot for Lupul tomorrow: Demote Holzer, Frattin or Komarov OR make a trade. No time for waivers.
IMO, they will make a trade. They have too many NHL pieces.
Didn't realize San Jose had moved Burns back to RW for the last few games. Seems to be doing pretty well there. Perhaps we should move Boyle back to the blueline.

Toronto Maple Leafs trade centre David Steckel to the Anaheim Ducks for right-winger Ryan Lasch and seventh-round pick in the 2014 draft.
