Okay, now, can he play on the power play pls? It's not like either Gorges or Bouillon have shown better offensive skills. Cube has a sniper shot, yes , but there's no excuse to play him over Emelin.

I really hope one of our media representatives has the balls to ask Therrien the question someday. There's really no excuse for Emelin to not see PP time right now.

Emelin's hipcheck was used as an example by player safety video as a good hipcheck.

He is playing on a different level right now! The most improved Habs from last year IMO

If they get a good director involved they could make a feature length film with all his hip check footage.

In the latest 24ch flash they have him working out and he looks so awkward with the situation.

I'd say Diaz is most improved from last year but Emmy is right up there.. Both have been awesome for us this year.

Wait until the playoffs. He has some playoff mojo the size of a bus.

good call. KHL champ as well as being named best D man of the tourney too. That's no joke.

I know he's still far, but the comparisons with Konstantinov are getting more acurate with his shot and offensive production.

They could put a deaf-mute out there instead of bouillon/gorges and still get better results.

What about Galchenyuk / Emelin at the point for the 2nd wave?

That's just an invitation for a penalty kill breakaway.

Aye, that's definitely a risk, but I think Galchenyuk is talented enough at the blue line to make things happen. He can set up Emelin's bomb, and he can distribute the puck nicely.

I would rather that than Bouillon-Gorges to be honest.

One overlooked aspect is that it's generally a good idea to have you're first pairing on the ice right after a PP because they can help keep any momentum that you gained on the PP, or at least stop the other team from gaining momentum after a successful kill.

Early on that meant Markov - Emelin so he could really play the 2nd wave. Now that we have Subban it makes a lot more sense for Emelin to be on the second wave.

So is it we just sort of cross our fingers and hope for the best regarding the surgery and plates in Emelin's face? In regard to the Chara and the Foligno incidents.

It would be nice to see Tinordi step up and have a go with Foligno. No reason he should get away with that.

I'm not one to pump the tires of the tough guy bandwagon, but guys would probably think twice before jumping an essentially defenseless Emelin if we had someone around to lay a beat down.
