I just hope they dress 7 Ds and Blunden isn't dressed. Double-shift your best winger and use Kaberle on the second PP wave.
I'm also genuinely worried about the defensive ability of that 4th line without Moen on it. Thankfully we are playing against a very ordinary offense, and they don't have Brodeur. But I still don't like our chances.
Ryder, Bourque, Diaz, Prust... Those depth injuries are starting to pile up...
Moen is capable of spot duty on the top 6. He's looked good for short spurts in that role before. Nothing fancy from him, he'll go to the net, and feed pucks at the net with someone driving. If you are going to have him in top 6, I think his style mostly jives with gionta, so that's where I'd like to see him.
With the depleting depth, its another opportunity for eller to elevate, and show the coaching staff that he can be counted on as a premier option, like he did against Ottawa.
Its also getting to be time where Price has to find his A game. *One thing these injuries will do is decrease your margin for error, and I think one payer that is more capable of decreasing that margin right now is Price. Its perfect timing to get back in top form.
Thank god for the production from the back end, particularly subban. The team should get through this stretch of injuries. Maybe not with first place, but they should be fine.
man this sucks. prust, bourque, diaz and now ryder are all out? i know no excuses but i feel like we're one more injury away and we could be in serious trouble.

At least we're not losing our core players, besides Prust anyway.

Oh god /goes to knock on wood.
Diaz was our second best Dman.. It's pretty core same with Bourque, he was one of our best forward...
We lose huge pieces over huge pieces.
Two top 6 winger, 1 top 9, 1 top 4 Dman...
They'll win - they haven't lost since I left Quebec for my ski trip in BC. I left Montreal right after they lost to the Isles on the 5th.
I'm supposed to come back on the 20th but I can stay longer if HFboards pools me some money...
More seriously tho I'm sure they can manage to win. Its a test for sure but also an opportunity for the youngsters that might give energy to everyone else. I expect a big game from Galchenyuk, its been a while since he produced but he'll get chances in a game like this.

No Excuse is not only a team motivational line. It's also our comeback to anybody dismissed our standing in 1st as a fluke.
"You have had an easy schedule" No Excuse
"You have had a most games at home" No Excuse
"You have been lucky regarding injuries" No Excuse
No excuse for our defeats.
No excuse for our victories.
