Oh, I use guys in a sense to include lasses as well.

Any ideas? I have a couple, but want to hear from you guys. Might not even end up going to the game, and might be too lazy to make a sign, and they might not even let me take it with me, but if I did it would be well worth the awkwardness of standing there in black and gold with a sign that just about nobody in the arena would understand what the hell it's about.

I highly doubt it ,cant see him bailing on his team .I know they have even less of a chance to win now but what happens if they did and their best player bailed.not much of a team player if that happened

Alright, I'm thinking Carl's head superimposed on a Yeti body, with "KING YETI #17" over it, and "Dö üs pröüd, Stänlė’ cüp 2013" in black and gold under it, or something. Sound gööd?

Funny Swedish hockey fan story for us old guys. I'm 51. I'm sitting in a bar in Benidorm, Spain. A lovely, quaint little resort town. Nice British style pub. I was in the navy. Have a couple beers and start talking to guy near us. He's from Sweden. I asked him if he was a hockey fan. Was right before Canada Cup in 81. I tell him I'm a Bruins fan. I say don't we have some kid on your team Michael Thelven. He's like yeah, the only Swedish Goon in the SEL at the time. Whenever I saw Thelven play I immediately thought of that guy. Especially, when he broke Stephane Richer's ankle in 88

I see you're from Sweden. One way to get around the "guys" attribution is to use "folks" instead. Easily understood...no one offended.

I'm half-British, though. And many people around my age use "guys" colloquially to include both genders. But I'll consider it in the future.

You know guys, I'm actually pretty offended that you use umlauts for Söderberg, but no one bothers for our german tank

Highlights from last night's game. A few decent goals and a glorious left cross punch from Engstrand (if B's didn't already have Svedberg in the organisation, I'm sure Engstrand would fit right in).

Thanks for that!

Man, with all the talk about how to open up the NHL game- that bigger ice would make all the difference in the world. Forget the size of goalies pads or stretching the blue line or adjusting icing rules or going 4 on 4. If they really want to let the talent of the league shine they just need to give em a little space to do it. No wonder Seguin lit it up in Europe- I'd love to see him do it here.
