Sometimes you have to take a step back to take 2 steps forward. That's how I feel about this season. While it sucks losing, getting a high draft pick this year and keeping the core intact could set us up really well in the future.

I used to think Homer was a great GM and really hockey smart but now I see he is an excuse making suit that is in way over his head. anyone else have thoughts on this? its just my opinion I'm open for discussion.
Just seems like GM speak to me. He can't come out and say the coach is on the hot seat, and he can't say the team is lacking talent. He's just trying to motivate the players to put out a better effort (which is certainly needed). Behind the scenes, I'm sure he's evaluating what areas need to be better and looking at possible moves. With all the trades he's made over the last few years, I don't believe for a second that this is the roster he would look at and think "perfection".

yeah man, idk.

Don't really think he's gonna call out the coach in public.. he also met with Lavi privately after that game.

it's a lot easier to call out the players to try to get them going than saying it's his own fault or Laviolettes.

Simmonds, giroux, scorocek are all we need. I feel like anyone else is expendable.

I really hope so. and that could absolutely be the case, but why just throw the players under the bus then? he should blame no one and conduct all his business behind closed doors and just say " no comment" .

Harry Z. will be recalled from the Phantoms today but will continue his 4-game NHL suspension. Prior to tonight, he fulfilled half the suspension.

There's a solid chance you won't want to see this game in detail.

When JJ said "90 seconds in" I thought he was going to say, "the Flyers haven't been scored upon yet."

More of the same. They've made zero adjustments or changes. That's downright idiotic.

All the instances Giroux woulda made magic last year, seem to be turnovers this season. Ugh.

The next time one of our tops lines utterly fails to maintain offense while doing the exact same thing, Lavi should be fired. Mid-period. I don't care.

Devil's announcers are basically laughing at the flyers for not adjusting their game plan. This is right after the devils had another 2 on 1.
