I actually looked at back-to-backs for the teams in the division awhile ago and Vancouver and Calgary do get more games against teams that played the night before. Anybody who disputes that can look it up themselves.

Jones sick.
Belanger (groin) took a short skate.
Fistric (elbow) and Khabibulin (groin) practicing.
Not surprised Jones is sick, he was struggling with the pace on Tuesday. Of course that could be because he's still not up to game speed since coming back.

Just shows how bad the Flames are. They are getting handed a super easy schedule wrt the back-to-back opponants, and are taking advantage of that, and they are still last.

Anyways, the Flames were owned by the Wings on the cycle last night. We are even worse than the Flames at defending against the cycle. Combining that with the typical first-game-back-dud after a long road trip and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.

The Red Wings were set to have an outdoor practice/demo/broomball game in Spruce Grove today but cancelled just beforehand due to the weather. Too bad.

"Detroit has taken at least one point from 40 of the last 42 regular-season games in this series dating back to 2001."

Jesus that's scary.
