Just wanted to check...has anyone here used stubhub.com for buying Nucks tickets? Are they reliable, or is it possible to get conned on there?

Thanks in advance.

About as reliable as you can get buying online. Basically it's consignment, but if you get tickets off there that are bunk, they do their best to find you tickets nearby or if they cant give you a refund.

Yeah, I can speak for stubhub. Bought tickets to game 1 of the finals off of there. I've heard of a couple bad experiences (tickets didn't work at the door), but they refund the price of the tickets if that happens and they can't get you replacements.

Essentially if you list tickets on there that don't work Stubhub charges you a penalty (not sure of the amount) for listing invalid tickets.

I did read, though, about someone (might have been Y2k) that got bad tickets and had to fight to get the fees on top of the tickets refunded, but I think that's rare.

Yeah that was me. Game 1 of the SCF I purchased a lower bowl single for $250 or something like that (USD). The tickets were bogus, and I ended up buying a single in the upper bowl from Kingsley Bailey for $500. Tried contacting stubhub before this but couldn't get through as their lines were busy. Eventually complained and they refunded me my original ticket price (although I got dinged on the exchange rate about $20) AND they offered me a $500 credit to make up what I paid to a scalper. They essentially took my word for it as I had no proof, but it's not like I was trying to scam them or anything. All in all I'd still recommend them.

Stubhub

When the season started up I scowered stubhub for a few weeks, and finally found some affordable tickets - nosebleeds but essentially $30 each.
I bought them, but a few days later stubhub came back and told me the seats were no longer offered. No doubt the seller rethought his price point! While I was out the tickets, stubhub quickly provided a complete refund and apology. I was happy with their service.

Haven't come across that situation. But back in the San Jose conference final series I scored the same seat two games in a row (games 2 and 3). It was section 105 (club) last row. Face value on the ticket was $900 and I picked it up for $200 each game.

SOLD!
Date: Thursday, Apr. 25, 2013
Opponent: Anaheim Ducks
Number of Seats: 2
Location: Row 3, Sec. 329, drinking is allowed (go nuts)

This is the last regular season game, so cool stuff like game-worn jersey giveaways, prizes, draws, monster 50-50, speech from awesome people and probably some other cool stuff because it's a lockout-shortened season.

Face value for the pair is $105.50/ticket so $211 for the pair. Please PM me ASAP for quick sale. Hard tickets, can show proof of season ticket ownership, etc.

Game: Canucks v. Red Wings
Tickets: Section 301, Row 14, Seats 9 and 10

I'll be going to the game myself with other guests, so I don't need these two. $93.50 is the listed price for each ticket, and I'd like to sell them both together. Just send me a quick PM!

Can anyone confirm if the Bear Creek Liquor Store that does bus-trips are legit? I'm always a bit worried when buying tickets off craigslist.

Buying one game 1 playoff ticket! The cheaper, the better (nothing over $200). My parents are giving this to me for my birthday present.

looks like alot of tickets available today during the presale.. i think alot of the ticket holders didn't renew their playoff tickets.. prices were nuts on ticketmaster.. nosebleed cheapest is $140 after fees.. lower bowl are $255+... maybe finally owners will realize to drop ticket prices especially if its a short run this yr..

Plenty of tickets for the playoffs available

http://shar.es/lmVj2

Seems like a lot of lower bowl playoff tickets are available on ticketmaster right now.

Guessing a lot of scalpels and companies didnt grab playoff tickets.

Here's your chance "real fans". Grab those tickets and show us how it's done.

Some people may just be waiting to see who we play in the 1st round, as it hasn't been decided yet.

Also, I personally wouldn't fork up $200+ for a round 1 game. Cup finals? Sure, but not a 1st round series.

Ticket and concession prices are totally out of control. The lockout still stinging people. I am not surprised by this at all. Add to the fact that HDTV now offers an enjoyable alternative to actually going to games. Maybe if ticket prices were more reasonable and it didn't cost me $10 for a small glass of flat draft then I would be going. Until then I will stick with my 60in HDTV, 7.2 surround sound setup, fresh beer for a fraction of the cost and good friends. I always feel ripped off after going to games. This season was a real revaluation for me. I swore of all games in protest to the lockout and in doing so it actually enlightened me to just how over hyped and overpriced it is going to games. I had so much extra spending money this season!

Yep, I'm well aware. The Canucks are too rich for me, hence why I rarely go to games.

Luckily for them, they exist in a rich market.
