Brandon Pirri scores 3-3. Great play by Clendening to bank the puck off the boards behind the net.

Ice Hogs clearly better and more talented but flukey goals and bad goaltending has been a problem.

Morin with a nice goal earlier as well. Montador looks solid, beating the goalie on one shot but it went off the pipe.

Bummer - I didn't know it was on TV. I think the Sunday game between the Icehogs and Wolves are on TV too.

Checking the box score, it had goals by Morin (2), Broadhurst and Mills. They has Pirri with 3 assists. Maybe you saw 37 (Broadhurst) score and thought it was 27 (Pirri).

In any case - Morin with 2 more goals and Pirri with 3 more points - very nice.

good to beat the wolves.

In other news, Simpson stopped 35 of 38 shots in a 5-3 win

Joakim Nordstrom assigned to Rockford, in accordance with the prophecy.

Morin with great game

1 goal + assist and taken down with empty net (IMO should have been automatic goal but refs felt he didn't have clear control)

WHat a mess to end game

A few Rockford players are going to get suspended for that.

True, but Rockford players were punching from the bench. Leagues tend to frown on that.

Looked like a Wolve came off there bench to join scrum

Also Vandermeer was in Hogs bench fighting ,, League should frown on that the most

The funniest was the Wolves player throwing punches around the divider and hitting no one. He must have thrown 10 haymakers that hit the other side of the divider.

have to say that I was impressed with Morin compared to the start of the season. He really made another step in his development.

I would love to see Morin with Shaw next year...that would be a whole lot of agitation with some skill to boot.

The two best things Morin has going for him is he can snipe and he plays edgy. The question is his skating. If it improves enough then he has top 6 potential. If not, then his best shot is as more of a grinder which, at least in our org, makes sense given he is unlikely to displace any of our current top 6 wingers and with TT in the pipeline.

His skating looks fine to me, one of the quicker guys out there this year imo.

I agree. I mean, if the Hawks bring up Jimmy "can't skate" Hayes to play in the top-6, I can't see them have any issues with Jeremy "skate better than I used to" Morin.

That's good to hear, I was gonna ask how his skating was because it needed to improve if he had any chance of a future on this team. Glad for him.

Just saw that Danault is going to be playing against Victoriaville in the first round of the Q playoffs.

That's going to be an emotional series for him. Playing against his hometown team that he used to captain up until a few months ago.
