Man, that OT was pathetic. Good job by Bryz there, that's the type of goaltending you need.

D did a good job and blocked a lot of shots thru 3 periods, but the forwards couldn't get anything going. Briere is almost a lost cause at this point. Hartnell's off. BSchenn's in a slump. G needs to start dominating. Oh, and they could REALLY use some form of offensive from Coots.

I got the vibe that they knew what they wanted to do on offense, but couldn't quite get it to work. They didn't have any bounce luck either. Fortunately, NJ didn't either.

Against Calgary last year, and all of a sudden Bryz became a wall.

They're a joke and always have been. I still remember when we got the internet way back when and going to paperboy.com as one of my first searches and getting direct access to the Philly papers and the beat writers. I also remember heading downstairs with some printouts, finding my old man in the kitchen and the two of us laughing for a solid 20 minutes.

First Flyers' shootout win against New Jersey, now 1-7.

Record in shootouts against the four division opponents is now 5-18 (3-17 against NJD, PIT and NYR).

If Timmy P didn't pick Bryz for star because he's developed some grudge against him he ought to be run out of town on a rail. He's the least professional hack in the business.

OEL signed, so I guess he wants us to trade our first rounder for Whitney.

I just don't understand how his direct superior allows him to keep his job. Is he supposed to be funny? That's all I can figure - they keep him around because they think he's funny/controversial/shocking so people will buy the Daily News.

His ego is so huge. Nothing disgusts me more than people who are arrogant for no reason whatsoever.

It could be due to timing. There have been instances where players have scored OT goals and not been named a top three star. Sometimes that is warranted but I wouldn't be surprised if the forms are submitted early. Still, there should be provisions for such a matter. Bryzgalov was a top three star tonight.

Outside of a handful of games its been like that the entire year.

The puck just does anything it can to stay out of the opponents net.

A nice win from this team, but I am no where near sold on anything/anyone. This team has proved they cannot be consistent anywhere, including scoring, defense, or goaltending. Flyers still haven't had a 3 game winning streak this year. I'm not sure we even deserve to win this game with the way we played in the third period and OT. Bryz had a really good game but again, he's hasn't been consistent at all. Not to be a negative nancy, but I'm more of someone to look at the big picture, the flyers proved to us that the only thing they are consistent of is being inconsistent.

the goalie and the effort were good enough for a win - so if they reproduce that kind of performance for 19 more games - do they go 14-5? No. 13-6? No. 12-7? maybe if they have a lot of luck. That won't be good enough.

I think they have to go 14-5 which is extremely unlikely. I cannot believe this team is behind the Islanders. The Islanders for the love of GOD.
