Yeah, losing Kadri, Holzer, Fraser, Frattin, Scrivens, Komarov and Kostka sucked away almost the whole team. They will lose Gardiner very shortly too.

Oh yes. I completely forgot about him. Seems to have slowed down a lot since his hot start on the Island.

The guy is one of the top defensive prospects in the league but AP who people have talked about in here is one of the top dmen in the NHL and only a few years older and there is probably only one person ahead of him in the draft that he should have been drafted ahead of

Rielly gets 2 assists(1 of them being on the overtime winner) as Moosejaw snaps the Saskatoon Blades 18-game winning streak.

5-4 Moose jaw

Yeah they lost half the team and every guy who's NHL worthy. Aucoin was a big blow, he's always been a great player in the AHL. And LOL at his stick, I'm pretty sure he uses Chara's twig.

Can't wait to see him with the Marlies...hope Eakins gives him the ice time to succeed. He's a rookie but if given the chance he could be the 1st or 2nd behind Gardiner in the AHL.

Can't wait, I'm gonna try to get a live viewing of him with the marlies, but I'll have to wait until their long road trip is over.

Settle your expectations, he's a fantastic player but you can't rush him. I've talked to people very close to him, who have seen him player every game of his WHL career. Some of those people don't think he's quite ready for the jump straight to the NHL.

I don't necessarily agree with those people, but I wouldn't be shocked if he isn't moved up the scale as quickly as some of you think.

Although I don't talk to people close to him, I'd expect he will be in the CHL another year, then the AHL the year after.

I don't think it's primarily about very high expectations( at least not from my side) but rather that we are all excited to see him live in a long time as in going to back to the WJC.

I had be more than happy if he can gain some good experience playing in the AHL.

He was one of the last cuts last year, if he impresses next season he'll be in the NHL, if he's decent, he'll get the 9 games try out and a decision is made after that.

Pietrangelo was sent back twice, so I'm not worried if Rielly returns to Moose Jaw next season.

Marlies+playoffs should greatly help him...even though he might not get much minutes.

The same people who thought Duchene couldn't?

Probably not since one plays in the WHL and the other played in the OHL...

I don't see how that argument makes any sense. You choose one player out of the hundreds who have been groomed slowly to somehow prove people who claim Reilly isn't quite ready don't know what they're talking about?

Duchene has nothing to do with Reilly.

All I'm looking for from Rielly is him to play well with the Marlies. I think he could make the team next year out of camp, if not I wouldn't be disappointed. There's no reason to rush his development.

What? How is that relevant? They don't even play the same position, which is probably the biggest reason why it could be tougher for him to make an immediate jump.

My hopes for Mo' Riels

This year - finish with Marlies
Next year - WHL for year, Marlies during playoffs
Year after - Full time AHL
Year after that - NHL
