Question for you guys! Why do they give the honor before the end of the season on the WCHA?

The first round of the conference playoffs are starting tonight(in the WCHA, at least). It's a best-of-3 series to earn a trip to the WCHA Final Five next weekend in St. Paul.

That Sunday, right after all the various conference tournaments are over, the NCAA tournament selection show will be held and the 16 teams will be selected and seeded in the 4 regionals.

Then, two weeks after the regionals, the Frozen Four will be held over the weekend.

no problem.

forgot to say the NCAA regionals are the weekend after the conference tournaments.

so that would be two weeks from now. so the Frozen Four and the latest end of the season is in a month.

Kristo doing what Kristo does.

2 assists for Bozon so far...his goal scoring has not progressed compared to last year (3 short of last year's total), but he now has 18 more assists.

Edit: I write that and he scores #34. 3 point game now.

what a game from Kristo, he just missed a hattrick as he fired it up the high slot in his own end towards the open net during a 6 on 4 at the end of the 3rd. Tough night for the refs which led to things getting out of hand, Kristo got punched in the face after some serious stick swinging. The player that punched Kristo got tossed and then tried to fight the ref.

But that seemed to just fire up Kristo as he scored his 2nd of the game after that but getting his own rebound and then waiting as the goalie was out of position, only to then bounce it in off the defensemen. His 1st goal was a nice move from just inside the offensive zone blueline, goalie never saw it.

If you consider Galchenyuk and Gallagher to be graduated, then Kristo is making a case to be our top prospect, what a year he's having.

North Dakota goes for the sweep tomorrow night. Walsh will need a win tomorrow night or his NCAA career will be over. I am recording Bennett's game so i'll post something after I watch it tomorrow morningish.

I didnt trust Kristo two years ago. Now, I fully expect him to make the team next year or the year after.
Just hope I would have more time on my hands to watch Us prospects/Euro prospects How do you guys do it ?

Kristo had a pair of goals and an assist in the first game of the WCHA playoffs tonight. Brilliant performance by him.

There was an incident in the third period where Alex Petan (Nic's older brother) went after Corban Knight and then went after Kristo in the ensuing scrum. Kristo took a two punches in the face, but instead of retaliating, he restrained himself and let Petan take the penalties. Petan also tried to head butt the ref. I was very impressed with how Kristo handled himself in that situation.

He's second goal came under a minute after an extremely weak goal allowed by Gothberg. Immediately following that Michigan Tech seemed to have UND on their heels, but Kristo scored a timely goal and sucked the life right out of them.

I hope they kept the receipt for that goal netting, I don't think I've seen a puck go right through the netting like that. The kid who scored that goal Draisdaitl might go top 5 in next years draft.

Go look up his stats Ridiculous. 192 points in 25 games and 103 in 26

I don't even know how this is possible. (Crappy league but still.)
It's about 8 points a game

Oh and that first assist and last goal by Kristo were pure display of elite stickhandling through traffic
