I wish we had Burke to draft all of our players, and leave.

That dude seems to leave teams in the best shape ever.

If the Oilers had the Leafs record right now the bandwagon would have to pull over to have its tires changed because it would be so overloaded.

As an NHL hockey fan and because the teams I follow did not play tonight I watched this game.... in the third period the Oil did not do what it takes to beat the Wings.... THey (Oil) did not check, they did not play the boards, they did not play puck possesion at all...

The Oil sat back on a two goal lead and watched the Wings skate around hoping for a win... THe Wings scored THREE unanswered goals..

To beat the Wings one must engage every second and play to win not lose.... You guys have some great young players, play them when a game is on the line, don't sit them....

Your coach is suspect....

the guy brings it every night and is so damn competive

I blame Katz.
Very true.
Until the "Old Boys Club" is eradicated, i just don't see this team realizing it's potential.
This is the only organization that would fire a GM then promote him (Lowe), promote the main assistant and the other staff members of 2 straight last place teams (Krueger and his staff), fire a coach then bring him back several years later in a promoted role (MacT), re-hire a GM who took maybe an even more inept organization and made them even worse if possible (Howson). Is there any other organization in all of sports that rewards ineptitude like this?

It's frustrating.
because he hasn't a CLUE how to run a bench... the guy may know his Xs and Os, but he sure doesn't know how to read a game or play the right players at the right times

Yup, if the Oilers played in the East it would probably be close.

I'm done with this team. I'm sick of traveling 12 hours and spending well over $1000 to come see these guys lose everytime in the same way. I'm not going to anymore games, throwing out all my jerseys and autographed stuff and I'm cheering for Vancouver from here on out. Done with these losers can't watch this garbage anymore. Scrap this rebuild, oilers are gonna be losers nothing can be done about it.

Agreed! Mike Keenan even! Krueger needs to go back to the Swiss league!

I clung onto giving Tambi a chance for too long! His time has expired!

Doubt it. Not with this coach, not with this roster. Burke would've made a move on the back end by now. Tamby just sits on his thumbs.

Let's face it. We aren't making the playoffs. Might as well be the laughing stock of the league for another season and tank.

They were already established, or atleast Getzlaf and Perry were, Ryan had to be in the minors for a while.

Wouldn't be great, trading some of these young talents for truculence.

It's getting to the point where I'm just going to turn off the game at the end of the 2nd period. I think.

Yup, nothing like doing things in the short term, that worked well for him and his last back end.

How many more times is Krueger going to mention how we messed up our gap control..

It's clear we have a personal issue but this system isn't working very well if it's causing all these issues.
