Helene St. James‏@HeleneStJames

Kyle Quincey suffered injury to cheek when hit by puck. Out indefinitely. #RedWings

Not surprised, was an ugly looking unfortunate play. People will talk about it and we will never know but given how it rode up his stick and the way he had his head positioned I think with a visor that still gets home and hits him the same way.

Well, that sucks. He was worse than awful for the first few games but his game really came together in the last month or so.

Or maybe, despite his decent play, he's still cursing the team and we'll put together a winning streak while he's out.

More alarming, I have a feeling somehow Babcock is going to create the Lashoff and Kronwall pairing.

Really hope they go with

Kronwall Ericsson
Kindl Smith
Lashoff White

Cola bumps Lashoff out when healthy. Also curious if Huskins draws in and White stays in no mans land.

I really liked the Ericsson/Kindl pairing in the third

Maybe my memory is going, but didn't they have good chemistry when put together last year as well?

I like that pairing as well, just don't see him putting Smith and Kronwall together and hated that Lashoff was back up there again for parts of the game. I hate that more so that is why I did the other.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Daniels and Redmond were talking about how a visor would have prevented it... seemed like the angle the puck took on him was almost straight up to his face.

Funny that the next guy they showed when play resumed was Kronwall, who always has his visor up at that ridiculous angle. Not even sure why he wears one, because that thing is protecting his temples and that's about it.

Now hopefully White can put in a good showing and take over Quincey's time on the PP. Boost that trade value.

Really unfortunate for Q. Seems like he is always on the wrong side of an unlucky play.

We lose Q and win. Glad he'll be OK but don't rush him back. It's weird how often we win with him out of the lineup.

Bummer, Quincey's been playing pretty well for the most part. When's Mr. Glass supposed to be back anyways? Didn't he have some setback?

Quincey has stepped up his game in recent weeks. Hope he's okay. Puck in the face sucks

I don't remember.
But Kindl wasn't very memorable last year.
He wasn't awful. But he wasn't good.

Who knows?

He'll be back for one game and then go out again. Can't rely on him for .
