So is Sinitsyn not playing at all right now? I don't know where to check when the last time he played is.

Bystrom's MODO eliminated Molin's Brynas yesterday. Bystrom picked up an assist in the win.

Molin could theoretically join Brynas in the Elitserien playoffs, but their season is almost over. The number 1 team in the league (Skelleftea - Klingberg's team) is already up 3 games to none, and they haven't been close. Likely, his season is over now.

Jyrki Jokipaaka and Illves play a league qualification round against Jukurit starting on Friday, March 22nd. The earliest this series would be over is Saturday, March 30th, and it can run as late as Saturday, April 6th.

Lindell hasn't played in the SM Liiga in a while, but his team Jokerit was the top team in the league, and their first round starts Wednesday, March 20th.

Faksa won't play the final game of the season. Kitchener is resting some key players.

They've locked up 4th place, and they will face 5th place Guelph in the first round, a team they've dominated in recent history.

Quote:
The Rangers are 5-1-0-2 against the Storm this season and 12-2-0-2 in the past two years.
Quote:
Game 1: Friday, March 22, 7:30 p.m., at the Aud
Game 2: Sunday, March 24, 7 p.m., at the Aud
Game 3: Tuesday, March 26, 7 p.m., at the Sleeman Centre
Game 4: Thursday, March 28, 7 p.m., at the Sleeman Centre
Game 5: Friday, March 29, 7:30 p.m., at the Aud
Game 6: Sunday, March 31, 2 p.m., at the Sleeman Centre
Game 7: Monday, April 1, 7 p.m., at the Aud
Brett Ritchie (6th place Niagara) will play 3rd place Oshawa.

Gemel Smith (3rd place Owen Sound) will play 6th place (either Sault Ste. Marie or Sarnia)

Michigan upset #3 Western Michigan in the CCHA tonight. They won 4-3 last night (2 assists for Guptill, and they won 5-1 tonight (2 goals for Guptill).

My guess is they will play Miami (Curtis McKenzie) in the semi-final round. They are winning tonight, but they did lose last night. Miami will need a win Sunday to advance.

John Klingberg's team Skelleftea swept Brynäs in the first round. IIRC, they met in the finals last year and Brynäs won. Klingberg put a puck in the net on the PP in the game, but the refs waived the goal off. Sounded like goaltender interference on Oscar Moller.

Emil Molin dressed for Brynäs, but he didn't play.

Weird that Saskatoon is playing Medicine Hat in the 1st round again. I remember last year MH completely dominated them. I forgot if they won the series 4-0 or 4-1.

Colorado College stuns everyone and wins again. They beat North Dakota in OT 4-3, and survive to earn a chance to play in the WCHA semifinals.

Illves wins Game 1 ... 2-0. Jyrki played a bit less than normal at just over 19 minutes.

Faksa seems to be slowly getting back. Was really go on the dot tonight, played well on the powerplay and got open a lot. However, he seemed a little dazed, he missed the puck quite a few times and in one instance he had a wide open net, tried to one time the puck and he missed the puck. It just slid by him.

Troy Vance has been better in the last few games. He is great against rushes, it is always the moments where he looks great. He has a very good anticipation. He definitely has less brainfarts than months ago. He is also more consistent. I am now confident when he is on the ice.

Bystrom had 2 assists yesterday, and the game winning goal today to help MODO advance to the semifinal game next weekend in the U-20 tournament in Sweden.

Thanks for the update, we haven't had many first hand accounts of Vance.
