Not sure why Dumba is so low either, or even why Samuelsson is on that list. Isn't he a horrible skater?

It'll come down to Janks and Seiloff vs. each one of those guys. Should work out for us but last time FLames did that Chucko, Prust and Boyd vs. Zajac hasn't worked out.
Trading Prust twice was such a horrible mistake

Seems as if they weighed the WJC's big time with this list.

Big game today for Gaudreau, they are playing in the quarters against Merrimack. For those in the USA, it's on NBC Sports Network at 7PMest.

A small glimmer of light down what looks to be a very long tunnel.
talk about an oversight of Pearson. Probably because he's playing pro now, but his AHL scoring clip is better than any of our AHL players. 0.7ppg in their rookie AHL season is pretty good.

I thought I heard somewhere that Dumba isn't exactly the smartest player.

That was one of the main points on him in terms of predraft scouting. Good physical tools, lacking in the hockey brain department.

Gaudreau had an EN goal last night. He had one or two good chances, but other than that he wasn't real noticeable. He also had many turnovers.

Went to the PC game last night. If I were Flames fans I would be so excited about Gillies. So calm and poised in the net. Made two breakaway stops to save defenseman. Jankowski also played well. Made a real nice move and drew a penalty. Also played a little more physically than normal. I am going to todays game as well so will try to get qnother update for you guys

Thanks for that. I'm blown away by Gillies's accomplishments this year. I was extremely skeptical about taking a goalie in the top-90 when there were defense and center concerns that still needed addressing. We picked an unreal goalie prospect and still some good defensemen in Kulak and Culkin (yikes on the organizational center situation though!!!!).

The only center that we really passed on is Leipsic and he wouldn't have fixed our center problem. We have a fair amount depth at #3 center prospect range (Reinhart, Arnold, Nemisz) we just don't have that top end talent (maybe in Janko time will tell)

Anyone know if I can watch the Providence - UNH game today in Canada, online somewhere? I'd love to see Gillies in action.

Providence is up 1-0 in the 1st. Jankowski with the goal!

If PC wins, they will move on to the Hockey East Semi-finals.

Abbotsford is playing today and with Taylor recalled Irving isn't even on the bench. Brust us playing and Rollheiser is the backup. Is Irving injured or in someone's doghouse?

Wow. Seriously, he must have ran over Ward's pet or something.

Flames website release:

Quote:
The Calgary Flames announced today they have recalled goaltender Danny Taylor from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League. Miikka Kiprusoff will not travel to Dallas due to his wife’s pregnancy and the imminent birth of their second child. Additionally, Leland Irving had minor elective surgery on March 12th. The surgery went very well and he is expected to return to play within 2 weeks.
