Didn't say he was... said maybe.

If he keeps playing like this I see them as pretty close.

As a Hawks fan I can quite comfortably say Toews is one of.. if not the most overrated players in the league.

You really need to actually watch some games, not just check the stats.

How can a Top-4 draft pick take so long to develop offensively? Usually when you wait 5+ years and the offense isn't there at the NHL level, it isn't there forever...
I thought he was projected to be a powerforward, not sniper. In any case, it seems like he was rushed, it wasn't until he was traded to Chicago that he really started to find his groove/timing, whatever you want to call it.

Past 2yrs, he has been just shy of 30 goals, but being on a Thrasher/Jets team that really doesn't have a legit #1 center, he's done insanely well. It seems like he's been around forever and he's just 27yrs old. He's in his prime years.

I watch every game.

Toews is a very solid two way player to be sure.

But his offensive limitations to me limit him... he is not a top 2-3 player in the world that TSN would have you believe because "OMG HE PLAYED FOR TEAM CANADA!!!."

Yes he is very good in his own zone.. but even that is slightly overrated now.... he isn't as good in his own end as Datsyuk or Bergeron, Backes or (and this is rare) a healthy Ryan Kesler.

Just wait till the playoffs - that is when Ladd's value will be apparent

He has a career high of 76 points in 80 games. That''s still top 10 in the league offensively for centres.
