And lose 7-4. Sounds oiler-esque

After a disastrous start (1 point in 12 games), Cornet is among the best players in the AHL lately (19 points in 15 games)

Do you guys see the Oilers retaining him for another year?

Unless the Oilers sign some NCAA free agents, Rieder will be the only forward joining OKC from within the organization next season, so I could see them keeping him around for another year if he wanted.

He seems to have some decent chemistry with Rajala.

It kind of shows you just how good the AHL was when the lockout was on IMO.

a question to those watching OKC games - who to call up if Dubnyk can't play? Hovinen? Roy?

To those that have continued to watch Barons games, is Rajala's stat line a true indicator of his play this season? He seems to pick up a point or two in every game, but is he one of the main offensive catalysts? Or has his (and maybe Cornet's) play mainly benefited from the addition of Cheechoo?

How's Marincin doing?

I see he has a good +/-, the best on the team actually.

Well Marincin did score the game winner last night...so that's nice.

Did Cornet get called up? He's not listed on OKC's roster despite playing yesterday or on Stockton's.

Listening to Lowetide on team 1260, his guest was saying Rajala has impressed him alot this year and he is contributing alot to his line

Sounds like Minnesota might be stealing Clark from OKC.

Haven't seen anything posted on it yet but looks like the barons have signed dman Kendall McFaull from the Moose Jaw Warriors to an AHL tryout contract for the rest of the season. No official releases that I could find though. He plays his last game with MJ tonight in Brandon which might be the reason.

Interesting.

I don't think Winnipeg holds his rights anymore. I wonder if it's a sign of the Oilers intention to sign him?

Yeah they dont anymore, he wasn't signed by them and became a free agent. Not sure exactly when. But it sounds like the Oilers had been scouting him for a while so it's a chance for him to come into okc and prove himself at the very least.

He's a big guy who is very driven and knows how to use his body. He doesn't bring much offence but he can be a steady presence. Much more solid back on d. It will be interesting to see how he handles the pro game.
