Valeev. Scheffelmaier to Peoria

From the 12/9 Peoria newspaper - he was right, they were sent down today.
==========

River readings: Won't be surprised at all if the Rivermen get a couple of impact guys from AHL Worcester this week. The AHL club has a jammed roster, and has left wing Igor Valeev and enforcer Brett Scheffelmaier ready to come off long stays on injured reserve. It's possible Peoria could get both those NHL-contracted players - Valeev was St. Louis' third-rounder in 2001 and blueliner Scheffelmaier was its fifth-rounder in 2001 - down for conditioning soon.

Any word on Low's shoulder

I hope he is OK, if he isnt they need to call up McLaren or Yablonski. Does anyone have info on Low's condition.

The Rivermen scratched enforcer Jeremy Yablonski and dressed debuting heavyweight Brett Scheffelmaier. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder fought, and dropped, Dayton's Riley Cote at 7:19 of the first period. . . .

River readings: Rivermen winger Igor Valeev says he and Peoria defenseman Brett Scheffelmaier, sent down by AHL Worcester to Peoria for conditioning last week, have been told by the AHL club their stay with the Rivermen could last up to 10 games. That would keep them on the ECHL club's roster through Dec. 31.

They're going to be down there for that long 'cause there isn't a place for them in Worcester right now.

That locker room is going to get pretty full again very soon...

Pollock is away so Scheff will be taking Pollock's place.

As a side note, I spent a few minutes with Jame Pollock's dad during Sunday's game. Nothing "print worthy" was discussed, but it's easy to see why Jame is such a good guy...the apple didn't roll very far from that tree.
