That's what a Sens fan wrote after our last game.

Actually he played better in a game last week that he "Stole".

The point is, that commentators that only see bad, or good, are better suited to cleaning monkey cages than intelligent debating.

Subjectivity is objectivity's salt. Not the other way around.

What the hell? We win a game. Subban was on the ice for the goal and you are going to say Emelin had a bad game?

Maybe you should look up the faceoff stats for tonight if you are looking for under-performance.

Emelin was pretty bad tonight, handled the puck like a hot potato and rushed the play out his own end way too often which resulted in icings.

A Win is a win!

Subban was monster

Price made them when he needed, shutting people up ... For now lol

Tinordi was fun to watch except when he drops his stick.. Too tall for that stuff thets be real lol

Thank god Colby scored

I miss Emelin ruining people

Plekanec is clutch, at times... That didn't make sense

We need Bourque back please

Gally 1 and 2 are hitting a tiny rookie wall, will snap out of it. I predict 2 points each next game.

There you go, my 76 cents. Gnight

GSPPPP!

Great win! Awful, awful second period, but good bounce back in the third.

Tinordi got better as the game went on, very solid first game.

Price was just fantastic tonight.

Continuing with the trend of a different person stepping up for each win, today was Carey Price's turn.

Devils had some really good gap control on the habs today, so it was almost impossible to get the speed game going. But the habs also did a good enough job in their end, and Price was there to cover up some mistakes.

Tonight was no masterpiece, but good teams find a way to win even when they are not at their best. Last season, this would have been a loss.

I was a little more optimistic for a point than a win. Just, the way the Devils were buzzing.

Though, last year it seemed we'd apply all the pressure then the other team would get one chance and score. Now, we seem to get one chance and score.

I think it's pretty clear the Markov-Emelin pairing had a bad game that goes beyond stats, but I was shocked at how bad their numbers looked. Price was MVP tonight for a reason.

I have no interest in looking for a scapegoat, both of them, Emelin especially, were great recently until tonight. There's plenty of Markov trashing in the GDT, some deserved, some harsh.

Don't take it personally, it's the post-game thread and like always, some players had a good game, some a bad game, so this is the place to discuss who had what.

And if you are trying to imply Eller had a bad game because he was poor (again) on the FO dot, you are out to lunch.

My point is that you can go down the list of every Canadiens player tonight and find something that each one did wrong or poorly.

It just seems petty to do so when we win though. Just my opinion.

Great overall game by Carey tonight! Great to see Tinordi do his thing as effortless as it semeed. A couple of of turnovers but way more good than bad for a 1st game.

I didn't think Emelin or Markov were distinctly bad, to be honest.

Well, I think it's fair to point out who had a good or bad overall game. Subban made some ugly errors, and also was flat our dominant at times. Desharnais was below average for 2/3rds of the game, but picked it up at the end and had a great FO game. Eller had something of the opposite.

Emelin and Markov had below average games. Pacioretty and Gallagher did too. It happens. I wrote one sentence about it, if I was actually concerned or angry with them I'd have expanded my point.

Markov's slowness was a problem at times. Emelin was the better of the two. Neither was particularly stand out bad, but the Devils dominated play to a significant level when they were on. On the other hand Subban made more noticable errors, but they were noticable because Subban had the puck so much.

Right now we have:

28 (Habs 1st)
37 (Cal 2nd)
42 (Nash 2nd)
59 (Habs 2nd)
71 (Dal 3rd)
89 (Habs 3rd)

It would be sweet if we could send a package of picks for a top pick... but either way I like...

Seriously. Subban keeps improving this season. There doesn't seem to be a ceiling to his talent.

Is he going to keep improving..?! At that pace?!?! Is this the Singularity everybody was making a fuss about? I'm scared...
