However, I did see Henrik play with a higher intensity than I have ever seen him play with vs the Kings. In 10-11 we also had Ehrhoff who worked incredibly well with the Sedins on the powerplay. Our team was a lot different with Ehrhoff on this team. We lost hoff last season and we lost salo this season. They were a big part of our power play success. Also, our power play completely dried up in the Finals. We need help scoring when the intensity gets up. Not necessarily a superstar, but at least an all-star calibre top 6 is what we need to be aiming for to help this team out. When you can't even rely on your 2 art ross trophy winners in a shootout, you're going to be in trouble.
Am I the only one who couldn't care less if the sedin's are good at the shootout?

The PP in the finals featured injured players. Edler, Ehrhoff, and Kesler were all hurt. Not a surprise it was ineffective.

Since there is no shootout in the playoffs I agree.

The injuries in the finals to those players definitely killed the powerplay, but it was just as much the coaching who failed to adapt and at least put players out there who could at least skate and shoot.

On that note does anyone know when edlers broken fingers happened? exact play would be great but even a general idea would be good.

Yeah, I just saw him in the tunnel. His Groin has never felt better.

They suck in shootouts which gives goalies confidence if they ever see them on a breakaway. Would rather face toews/hossa/kane on a breakaway or a sedin? Trying to deke out a goalie is not something goalies have to worry about with the Sedins and I think that makes them a little bit predictable for one-on-one situations.

With the Sestito tweak (DTD), could we see Jensen on Sunday if Sestito can't make it? He wouldn't have to make it through waivers, and has 5 games to tryout anyway.

Ballard
I don't think he will be back until Tuesday against Columbus.

Bieksa

Probably be back for Columbus or Nashville.

Sestito

I think he will play in Minny.

You're going to use the one time they succeeded as opposed to the tens of times they've failed? Sedins are really, really bad in the shootout.

I wouldn't mind seeing Daniel get a few more chances. Hank should be right around Alberts on the SO depth chart.

Just for the record Daniel has had 23 attempts in the shootout since the lockout, of which he's scored in 4 of them (17%). That's pretty awful.

But Henrik on the other hand hasn't been given much of a chance, he's only had 2 attempts since the last lockout. He didn't score in either attempt, but maybe he's due for a chance. He is our captain after all.

You might be onto something here. That's two beautiful penalty shots by Henrik now.

^Kesler should be skating soon no?

Anyways, Bieksa is still DTD, tweaked mind.

But yet, with Bieksa in the lineup, we seem to have a good record.

Looks like either a calf sprain, or high ankle sprain (best guess). He could barely put any weight on it.

Kassian likely just resting. The back has been troubling him most of the season. He'll be back next game most likely. Henrik has dealt with a bad back his whole career and it hasn't affected him much. Kass will just need to take good care of it in the offseason, build up the necessary muscles and that should protect him better next season.
