Couldn't pinpoint anything looking that bad, but it certainly looked awkward.

At the end of the day, I couldn't really care less if he's out of the lineup for an extended period of time. One of Schroeder or Jensen will more than be able to fill his lack of production.

My irrational hatred for Kesler's ability to get injured at the worst times is rising.

I was a big fan of Booth last season and I'm extremely disappointed in him this season. First the groin injury and now an ankle injury? I really wonder how much he "trained" during the offseason and during the lockout.

Vigneault confirms left ankle injury for Booth, will have MRI. "He's gone for some time."

Ankle injury is probably 3 to 4 weeks

Boot has been a failed acquisition. He's our new Sami Salo... only when Sami was actually in the lineup he was a goo player.

How is the ankle injury his fault? He got pulled down and fell on it awkwardly. Should've been a penalty too.

well if there is one positive to this it allows the canucks to offer Laganiere an NHL roster spot to sign with us.

Can't blame the player for every injury. He was unlucky tonight.

I know that not all injuries can be prevented. I guess I am frustrated that Booth decided not to stay in Vancouver during the lockout to train with the other players. With proper training/practice etc, you are better prepared for the strains etc. that players go through during the tough season.

Booth already looked lost out there and not in sync with his teammates and with him missing even more time, he won't have time on his side to get that chemistry he needs with his line mates.

If and when he comes back, most of the season will be lost. Could this be the last we see of Booth???

Kesler's missed alot of time but I actually don't worry about him not knowing the Canucks system when he comes back. But Booth's been here barely a year and AV already doesn't trust him on the ice in critical situations.

Certainly could be if we don't make the playoffs, which is a real possibility, despite what most people seem to assume.

Just watched the clip of Booth going back to the bench. If you watch closely you will see that Franzen is actually helping Booth to the bench as he pushes him with the blade of his stick. Really classy move there.

With Kesler, Kassian, Malhotra, Booth out, the lines might look like:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Ebbett-Hansen
Higgins-Schroeder-Weise
Sestito-Lapierre-Pinizzotto

Ebbett on the 2nd line LOL! Weise on the 3rd line LOL!

I don't mean to hate on Ebbett because he can be useful in a limited role, but I don't see him keeping up the production on the 2nd line. We already know what his ceiling is. Rather go back to the Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen unit that was having so much success.

That line up includes 4 forwards that should be nowhere near the starting line up of a playoff team, Weise, Pinizzotto, Sestito, Ebbett and one that is not NHL ready, Schroeder.

And Raymond and Hansen shouldn't be on the second line on any type of contending team. We're in very sad shape, not that Booth was producing at all anyways but it just shows a real lack of organizational depth.

Good thing playoffs are a ways away then eh? Take out 2/3rds of any teams 2nd line and their top prospect and their depth will look like ****. We have better depth than most teams.

By then kesler and booth should be back meaning ebbett and Schroeder are out of the lineup Raymond and Hansen move to the 3rd line and one of pinizzatto and sestito will be in the press box as Kassian will be taking a spot ahead of them.

Who cares if our current lineup looks like it's barely nhl caliber if it gets the job done (which it barely is right now) and we have all our players healthy come playoffs.

True but we've never had the injury prone ones missing most of the season before the playoffs either (minus salo) so who knows maybe since they are putting in their time on ir now they won't have to in the playoffs.

That goalie trade feels more and more needed, some weeks ago it felt like a luxury to have.
