Preferably not using top 10 picks.

Asham sure didn't act like one in his time so far this season. Did he even get into a fight or stand up for one of our guys? I vaguely remember maybe 1 near the beginning of the season?

Why do you need to develop one? Asham isn't a "goon" anyway. Trust me I take any chance I can to bash useless players who bring nothing but their fists, but Asham is more than that..

No, they've been saying all because they consider him out indefinitely

But Asham's a joke at this point. I wouldn't care at all if he got shipped out by the deadline if possible

Rangers since the Staal injury:

2-4-0, giving up 17 goals in those 6 games, and scoring only 10.

Please come back soon Staal.

Yes, Staal is the backbone of our defense. We were so fortunate last year to have Girardi and McDonagh step up like they did. While I think that McDonagh will exceed that level of play, he's struggling a bit and is inconsistent at the moment. We really need Staalsy back!

Lol for a second there i thought it said Asham Injured on bike. Had a bit too much to drink after that embarrassing shalacking earlier today. Still can't believe we only scored 1 goal in 120 minutes on Enroth and Fleury.... both statistically in the bottom 15 of NHL goalies. This is really rock bottom for a shortened season...even the Islanders are ahead of us in the standings....if that doesn't call for a big change, what does people?

remember when people said to trade Del Zotto in a deal for ROR because we had such a good defense?

At this point, I consider Sauer's career done. The most important thing is him regaining a normal life at this point.

Jordan Staal says #NYR D-man Marc has a scar above his eye that's "healed up nice" and "a few fractures and stuff (that need) to heal"

#NYR Jordan Staal saw brother Marc last night, said he's doing well. "Believes" Marc will play again this season.

Staal will wear a visor when he returns.

So Marc did suffer a facial fracture(s) which didn't require surgery.

Once again, our best news source on Marc Staal is not the team, nor our beat writers, but his younger brother...

(I guess Eric too)

Why does it take a player's visiting brothers to give updates on his condition? I know the Rangers like to play things close to the vest, but c'mon, it's nice to get an update now and then.

Going to wear visor too...

Quote:
While Jordan and Eric said they aren't planning to start wearing visors this season, Jordan said Marc is planning on making the switch when he returns.

"We asked him -- I think he's going to wear one," Jordan said. "I think he's learned his lesson and he's going to throw one on."

Jordan, who joined his brother Eric on the Hurricanes, said that Marc sustained fractures on the play. A source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com that Marc suffered non-displaced fractures, although those are not expected to affect his timetable. And although his vision is not 100 percent, he is expected to make a full recovery before his return.

Priority one: Vision back fully
Priority two: Healthy for the playoffs

Anything else is gravy. Glad to finally hear some updates on Staal. Also glad to hear he is still expected to make a full recovery.

Absolutely ridiculous that we only get this news when the Canes are in town. Still feeling like he dodged a bullet on this one though.
