Not sure how they'll stand up to the southern teams but Björklöven have definitely been the best in the north so I expect them to go pretty far. Grundström and Eliasson were ridiculously dominant in Modocupen.

Linköping won U16 Elit södra but I would hold Frölunda for the team with the better chance to win in the end. Also Frölunda has won all the games against Linköping so far this season.

But Linköping and Frölunda seems to be the two best teams from Elit södra, with a pretty clear gap to HV and then another clear gap to Malmö. I actually think Rögle is better than Malmö and perhaps even HV but they screwed up in the qualifications against this seasons big positive surprise Hanhals.

All (?) games will be broadcasted via livearena.com.

Edit: players to look out for is also: Frölunda (John Dahlström) and Linköping (Sebastian Ericsson)

Örebro has been better than I expected thus far. Two close games against Brynäs and Linköping, lost by late goals in both games. HV71 has also been a little bit better than i thought, if they beat Örebro tomorrow they're through to the quarter finals which I didn't think.

Wow, Brynäs have loaded their line-up with regular J18 players for the last group game against Linköping and they're a completely different team than against Örebro and HV71. I don't think that's very fair to be honest, but it's ultimately a thing for SIF to look at wheter it should be allowed or not.

They've filled their J18 with J20 players so I guess it's a snowball effect. Lööke is playing with J18 and not U16 though so they could've been even better.

I had Björklöven as favorites to win the U16 championships. But now they just got knocked out and didnt even make the quarter finals. Surprisingly bad performance by Björklöven.

Yeah, I guess. It's one thing in a play off series where two teams face eachother throughout but it's another thing when it's a group stage play off as in u16 eight and quarter finals. I don't think the schedule should play a big part in a play off.

It is a bummer they didn't fielded their best team cause i think they would be favorites for gold if they do. Now they will probably loose next round due to U18 quarters.

Bjorkloven, what happend?

Farjestad - Sodertalje in finals?

Agree, great team. But this would be my ultimate Sweden U16 team this season:

Filip Ahl - Carl Grundström - Einar Emanuelsson
Andreas Maier - Jens Lööke - Philip Magnusson
Henrik Neubauer - Rasmus Asplund - Joel Eriksson Ek
Jonathan Davidsson - Anton Kalte - Oliver Erixon
Emil Alba - Simon Hellholm - Linus Ölund

Oliver Kylington - Filip Berglund
Lucas Carlsson - Erik Ullman
Jonathan Léman - Jacob Larsson

Felix Sandström
Adam Werner
