Well CL would mean they're in the black. I also don't know that the new kit revenues are all in. Not to mention the debt taken for the rebuilding of Anfield.

They still need a good 30-40 million player investment this summer.

As for the takeover, after speaking to my father and some of his friends, some of whom were members of the board over the years. There has been no formal approach to the club and it appears that all there is is simply rumours in the press and media.

That's not to say a consortium hasn't been meeting to discuss a bid, just that nothing formal or otherwise has approached the club.

I'll say this much, those wanting to give Kroenke the boot, and I'm not his best fan. He will not go entirely unless it's a tremendous pay day. He'll always want a slice of the pie. Best scenario? Buy most of his shares and work with Usmanov to get a deal done.

But as I've said this seems nothing more then simple press rumours and idealistic/desperate fans wanting a dream of Man City or Chelsea.

West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie has taken to Twitter to criticise the club for not starting him in matches.

"Keeping me on the bench now is worst [sic] than what they did on the 31st," the Nigeria international tweeted.
Odemwingie later added: "If they like they shouldn't even give me 10 mins to play. Threatening to ruin my career? Career I closed already last summer? No harm to me.

Such a tool

It is such a joke. FA doesn't even try to hide it.

Quote:
Greg Dyke will become the new chairman of the Football Association, after his nomination was unanimously approved by the organisation's board. He will succeed David Bernstein, who is to leave the post in July after two and a half years in the job subject to approval by the FA Council.

Dyke, 65, has previously served as director general of the BBC and managing director of London Weekend Television, but also has a significant background in football. In the late 90s, he was a director of Manchester United

Well would you like the director of FA to not have any background at football?

As per Wikipedia:

Quote:
Dyke is the current non-executive Chairman of Brentford F.C., a position he has held since 20 January 2006.[23][24] He was appointed as part of the club takeover by Bees United, the Brentford Supporters Trust.[25] Dyke has jointly supported Manchester United[26] and Brentford F.C. all his life. Dyke's elder brothers supported Tottenham, but he preferred to support Man Utd.[26] He became involved with Brentford in his childhood when his brother was a junior there. Manager Bill Dodgin, Sr. tried to sign his brother, but their father would not agree to him committing to what he saw as an unlucrative career.[27]
From 1997 to 1999, Dyke served on the board at Manchester United as a non-executive director, and was the sole board member to oppose a takeover bid from BSkyB, which was subsequently rejected by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.[28] When he became Director General of the BBC he admitted a "potential conflict of interest" between his new post and his current non-executive directorship at Manchester United PLC.[29] He resigned his position to avoid controversy. In a speech at the Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Awards, he said "it was seen as a conflict of interest to both buy and sell football rights. My kids have never forgiven me for joining the BBC because of that."[26]
A whole two years as non-executive director.

He's a Ferguson stooge.

He's an avowed United supporter. Executive or not, you really think he's going to make completely impartial decisions? If so, I've got some beach front property in Nevada to sell you.

Source/link?

The point was, you'd have a hard time finding an FA boss that was not a fan of some club in the England.

Chelsea youth player Ruben Loftus-Cheek will reportedly earn 1.7m before his 20th birthday regardless of whether he ever makes the grade at Stamford Bridge, but is nonetheless embroiled in a contract row

Ridiculous

Just discovered Juan Mata has 18 goals and 31 assists in all competitions. Knew he had been crazy amounts of productive this year, but not this much!
