Playoffs 2013

I think we have a pretty deep group. The lines are set, the defense need a player or two and its up to Carey Price to take this team to the next level. We will go as far as Carey Price takes us.

Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Ryder
Gallagher-Eller-Galchenyuk
Moen-Prust-Armstrong
White/Dumont (I perfer Dumont)

Subban-Gorges
Emelin-Markov
Diaz-Boullion
Weber/Kaberle (I perfer Weber just b/c I think Kabs is finished)

Price
Budaj

If we can package one of our high 2nd rounders (Calgary) and a lower level prospect for another depth player like Clowe who would fit into our team perfectly on the 2nd or 3rd line then we could expect a really deep playoff run.

The acquisition of a top 4 D wouldn't hurt either but I don't know if we have much to give up at this point, I don't want to lose futures cause they'll have to be good ones if we want a good defenseman.

It's nice to assume that we will be 100% healthy but it's rarely the case.

We're definitely a better team, player for player, than we we're in 07/08 (I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that I liked our roster last year better as well) but I'm not 100% sold on us doing serious damage in the playoffs.

In a couple years (possibly next year) we should be a force to be reckoned with year in year out for awhile but we might just be a player or two short (if we go in as is) to hoist #25.

I think you can call us contenders but our lack of size 'could' get exploited. Still think this is the best team we've had since I've had real critical faculties but I don't think we can beat the Pens in 7 games.

So basically, if we get beat out in round 1, its Price's fault? Maybe, but I highly doubt it.

If we're healthy than I could definitely see us going far in the playoffs.

Any serious injuries and we'll be in trouble.

I see no reason to make that trade. A potential high 2nd rounder for a guy who still hasn't scored in 26 games this year and would be our 3rd or 4th LW when we're healthy.

Face it guys, Price sucks. We should deliberately tank and draft Fucale in the first round

Size makes a difference in the Playoffs but so does experience. Our vets (Gio, Pleks, Prust, Ryder, Moen *cough,) will have to step up their game and score some timely goals the way Cammy did in 2010. Pleks tends to be defensive minded only in the PO so we'll see if that changes under MT. Markov will have to be the General again and QB the PP. I can go on and on, but at the end of the day, we don't have a true shutdown defenseman with experience unless Gorges becomes that guy, to go all the way.

I think the Habs have a great team but their youth will catch up to them when facing the elite teams in a best of 7.
