Was just a matter of time and it seems like the Rangers got him on thier terms...Not a huge fan of Roszival but he played well for the most part last year..Yeah, he gets out of position and takes some stupid penalties but the +35 was not imaginary andhe brings a little bit of everything to the table including some offense, which is needed with Rachunek and Tyutin the only other options right now.....He and Malik are a decent pair and should get less time this year if Rachunek and Ward are what they are hoped to be and Tyutin keeps improving....Still room for a Pock, Richter or Girardi as the 7th D-man (Don't think Stall should be in NY)......And,as somebody mentioned, with this contract Roszival could easily be dealt...
Renney is a Guy who loves having his extra skaters play at some point too, especially when things arent going smooth. Last season he played w/ the lineup a ton so makes you wonder if Hossa will really be traded...because if he's gone and the team isnt producing...who is the E/S that will play? Orr? I doubt it. I doubt our young players will be bench players since they can get time in HFTD.

we can sign mike leclerc who is a lw with size. he has some grit but gets hurt though, but not like betts. id take leclerc as hossa replacement. at least leclerc works hard and has leadership.
at this point, the Rangers can have a completely full roster (assuming Immonen is the 3rd line center). I don't think you'll see them signing any more FA forwards.

I think if you get a HEALTHY Leclerc, he definitley wouldn't be on your bench as a scratch. The guy can play as long as he stays injury free.

Marc Staal should return to junior.Especially with the new CBA rules of having players become Group III/UFA's after seven accrued seasons

46 or 47(w/Staal)contracts.The Rangers have a limited amount of available NHL contracts
ook i was responding to the post that said as per tsn he got a 2 year 5.5 mil contract, but it seems to have been deleted lol
That the same guy who started yelling at me for bringing up the Flyers planning to sign Gagne for $5 million in a thread using Gagne as a comparable to Gomez which is what the arbitrator awarded Gomez

Exactly..hartford would be the best place for him but since it is out of the question, Juniors is the best place for several reasons (Playtime, physical and mental growth, future contract status)
Being that we have better defenseman this season if Rozy goes to the box frequently he should be benched! I have had enough of his pansy a$$ playing style.

agreed, i dont see why liffiton cant play, he plays a better physical game and simple and sticks up for teammates.
I'm glad to keep rozy in blue. We had a lot of unexpected success last year. Even if we did end up paying out a little bit for him, the added value is that it shows the players that there will be some committment by ownership to keep guys together that are a part of moving things in the forward direction. Ifeel really comfortable going into this season with the guys we have. I don't feel any urgency to move anyone at the moment. Even holding on to Hossa for a while may not be bad. He could be packaged nicely for somehting we need mid season if he doesnt contribute for us.

Let's not exaggerate here....Roszival is a fairly solid NHLer with some good flashes and some lapses..You don't replace him with a LIFFITON who may never be an NHLer, not to mention there at least three Pack D-men that are/were better (Pock, Baranks, Girardi)
